The Yellow House on Plott Creek

My wife and I truly leaned into our short stay at The Yellow House on Plott Creek Road. After our gracious greeting and tour of the house and grounds, we dropped our bags in our room, each grabbed a warm chocolate chip cookie, and settled into the Adirondack chairs in the front yard to read, snooze, and enjoy the early summer breeze. We stayed in the Patriot Room, a lovely room with books, fireplace, wonderful light from large windows, plush robes, and an incredibly comfortable, firm full-sized bed. We booked our stay on short (1 day's) notice; it was wonderful that they were accommodating and available through a number of booking platforms. We enjoyed breakfast on the front porch - it was beautifully plated, delicious, and filling. This B&B is very convenient to Waynesville's bars, restaurants, and music. It is less that a ten minute drive to both Main Street and the Frog Level area of town. I recommend this highly for a short stopover or for a longer visit to the North caroline mountains. We look forward to returning.

Me and my wife spend a couple of days in NC hitting different towns. We arrived in waynesville in the afternoon and wanted to stay. We looked up a few different places and read the reviews of the Yellow house. We decided to give it a try and i called and chad answered, he was very nice and said to come by that he had a room. It isn't far out of town, we pulled up and Chad met us and showed us around and we loved the property and story behind it. We decided to stay and it was by far our favorite B&D we've ever stayed at. Chad was great to us and service was top notch and i would recommend this place to everyone.

Everything about our stay was wonderful! We were there for 4 nights and all of our requests were honored without question. The suite we had was well appointed and very clean and crisp. Having free access to the downstairs common areas coupled with a well appointed butlers pantry made our stay very homey! The grounds are beautiful. Breakfast was always 3 courses and well prepared. Quality of the offerings was very good. We had some dietary restrictions which were honored as well. We will stay here again!!

The ambience and hospitality of our host was perfection. Everything you imagine a B&B should be. The delicious breakfast was expected but the fresh baked snack left every day was a wonderful surprise. The double sided fireplace in the bedroom and also thru to the spa tub makes it almost a movie set.

What a wonderful place to stay. The room was large and comfortable, the surroundings beautiful, the food was incredible and the hospitality was gracious. If you’re traveling in the area, there is no better choice for accommodations . Iwill recommend this B&B to all my friends and family.

Awesome location for a large birthday gathering of friends. Food was great, rooms were perfect, and service was over the top. I highly recommend this for a small romantic getaway or how we used it as a large group (9 couples) could have the run of the property.

Outstanding experience! The Kinsale Suite is so quiet and peaceful. Amenities were wonderful and very thought out. The Main house is lovely, and we felt very comfortable from the moment we stepped inside. I can't say enough about Chad. He is an exceptional host. In addition, the grounds were beautiful. I really didn't want to leave. Thank you, Chad & Josh, for such a fantastic stay that we will always remember. The Yellow House is definitely top-notch and we highly recommend!

We were well cared for.. We arrived late in the evening and Chad (one of the owners) graciously waited up to greet us. He was genuinely kind and so attentive. Our bed in the Holland room was very comfortable and the sheets were some of the best I have ever slept on. We plan to return again.

Another Wonderful stay at The Yellow House. This is our home away from home. Chad and Josh are fantastic hosts and it always amazes us what they have done since our last visit. It’s hard to improve on perfection, but they continually do it with upgrades to the property. Their included breakfast is fantastic. Don’t miss it. We will be back for another 8 night visit in October. Can’t wait !!
