Sehr idyllisches gelegenes Hotel, die Zimmer sind nicht direkt im Schloss, sondern in kleinen Gebäuden nebenan. Das tut dem Ganzen aber keinen Abbruch, da die Zimmer sehr schön sind und wir fanden es sehr gemütlich und groß. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, meine Frau war schlecht zu Fuß, sodass uns ein Zimmertausch Parterre angeboten wurde. Dafür nochmals unseren herzlichen Dank. Frühstück war ebenfalls für uns voll ok, bei den heutigen davon eilenden Kosten bei Lebensmitteln, haben wir Verständnis wenn das Frühstücks Angebot seinen Preis hat.

Mooie locatie, erg rustig gelegen, mooi uitzicht, authentieke ruime kamers. Let wel op, sommige zitten op een boven verdieping met een trap. Klein restaurant dus wel tijdig reserveren. Maar anders zijn er ook nog restaurantjes in het dorp dichtbij.

Schloss Wissen is situated in beautiful surroundings. The location is very quiet and nicely maintained. The rooms are nicely decorated. What was missing in the room was a mini fridge. A further very big drawback are the pillows, a normal person cannot sleep on them and therefore we were not able to fully enjoy it. The castle itself is a bit of a mixed bag of styles and construction periods, with original details not always spared. Too bad, but it's still a nice complex.

We booked it last minute for a night and we were surprised by the scenery. The castle is beautifully surrounded by water. The actual hotel is next to the castle. Consists of several small houses. They are all renovated and updated inside. Each room is named after a person (I think who has lived in the castle in the past). The breakfast is well taken cared of. A continental breakfast of ham, cheese, jam, bread and scrambled eggs.

Uncomfortable room furnishings, only the basics, expected something better for the price (155 euros, Edmond room). Breakfast: much too expensive, hardly any choice (16.50 per person), only one type of bread, no fresh fruit (except in the fruit salad), no fruit yoghurt (only 1 natural yoghurt), no boiled egg, only one type of bread, employees hardly spoke German and didn't even know if the only type of bread that was available had spelled, no selection of cream cheese or quark spreads, despite the high price not even salmon or freshly squeezed orange juice, it was cleared away faster than you could finish eating. Conclusion: For less money there are much better services elsewhere. Never again castle knowledge.
