Weihai Haiyantai Little Shell Homestay

We weren't very pleased with our stay at the hotel, despite the beautiful view from our room. No one met us on our arrival day, and it turned out it wasn't a hotel, but a private apartment. The cleaning lady helped us call the owner, and then she came. She informed us in broken English using her translator that we wouldn't fit in this room (we'd specifically asked about the room's capacity when booking, and they'd told us we'd all fit), so we'd be moved elsewhere. We took this in stride. She helped us move our bags to our new room and then informed us that we were staying in this room for one of our three nights. I exchanged a Wichat with her (thank you for having one), and she said she'd be waiting for us in the lobby at 12:00 the next day to help us move our bags to our new room. Naturally, no one was waiting for us in the lobby the next day, and she didn't even text us. I texted her myself, and she simply sent me the door code and told me to go to the room, the same one we were supposed to check into yesterday (I just assumed it was occupied). We made our way up the hill to the room ourselves with our suitcases and checked in. We were greeted in the room by disposable towels and disposable synthetic bedding, which tore very quickly, and the print on it left a mark on your skin. We ended up staying in that room for the remaining two days, and no one texted us until checkout day. On checkout day, the landlady kept calling and messaging me on WeChat from almost 8 a.m. onward, insisting that we absolutely had to check out and text her (our checkout was until 12 p.m.). We planned to leave before 12, but to go to the beach first, which we did. Meanwhile, the landlady kept texting and calling me. At 11:00 AM, when we were returning to the hotel (it's a 5-minute taxi ride from the beach), she texted us that we had to check out as soon as possible because other guests had arrived. No one answered why we were being asked to check out early, or why the other guests had arrived before 2:00 PM (maybe she'd arranged an early check-in for them but hadn't asked us). So, at 11:50 AM, we checked out of our room, very dissatisfied. No beautiful view is worth this kind of treatment.

The community is by the sea, the environment is good, you can take a walk to the beach, it's beautiful, the homestay is clean and tidy, suitable for a family or a few friends to travel together, there is air conditioning and floor heating, free parking downstairs, and it is convenient to order takeout. By the way, I’d like to advertise Weihai, a place with snow, mountains and sea.

The price after September is much cheaper than the summer vacation, and the cost performance is very high. The room is fully equipped with disposable supplies, which is very considerate. The sheets and quilt covers are also disposable, which saves us the trouble of putting them on ourselves. The only drawback is that the pier in the photo has been severely damaged and we dare not go up.

Good scenery, outside is the bare sea view, you can see an island, there is also a golf course, the floor is high, the scenery is good 4. Convenient transportation, there is a small electric car downstairs, and it is fast to drive 5. There are cold drinks in the refrigerator, and the watermelon I bought is self-chilled, so comfortable 6. The boss lady is super nice! The route map and guidance are great, very careful, and the locals speak standard Mandarin hahaha, I was afraid that I couldn’t understand Weihai, this lady doesn’t have to worry at all, she has a good personality, recommended!

This study room also has a slide, which is especially suitable for my baby. The room we booked is on the third floor. When I took the elevator, I specifically looked at the entire building. There are only five floors in total. Then the location of the sea on the third floor is particularly good. You can see it 180° without a dead angle. We wanted to watch the sunrise in the morning, but the alarm clock didn't wake up, so we didn't get up. Well, but we were very satisfied. When we got up in the morning and came back at night, the color of the sea on the balcony was different. It was the first time I felt that the sea was like this. Thank you very much for this B&B. She recommended us a lot of delicious and fun things. We took the children to Xixiakou. The tickets were also bought by this B&B sister, saving dozens of dollars. The guesthouse owner also recommended many delicious restaurants, including Korean food, seafood, and Sichuan cuisine, all of which I love, and I didn't find any disappointing.
