it was really nice hotel, the location was very good, it was near the highway and switzerland border

teh area the hotel is located is not very nice. the hotel and the rooms are quite old. The beds are very good, I had a good sleep. The breakfast offering was delicious, food fresh and a good choice.

Great location close to the highway. Perfect for a short stay. However, AC was not working in most of the hotel.

I chose the Carahotel Basel Weil am Rhein because of the design and this was ok. Then the car park is expensive and you can't park anywhere nearby. People at the reception are not helpful and have no good attitude. They don't help with the luggage as well. The room was cold and even if it supposes to be a business hotel, you can’t share the room with a colleague, the shower is with glass in front of the bed. My booking was prepaid including tax, but we checked in they asked me to pay the city tax. In the morning I showed my booking and asked for a refund of the tax, but they didn't do it and said to my wife that they will send me an email and refund on the credit card. Anything happens so far! I'LL NOT STOP HERE AGAIN!!!

This is a hotel I stopped at on my way from Italy to my destination in Germany via Switzerland. It is close to Basel, Switzerland, and the hotel facilities and services are good.

The room was fine with good beds and a nice walk-in shower. There was a desk with a separate chair and a seat (two chairs with a table). What was missing was a kettle and tea/coffee facilities. Well-functioning air conditioning and relatively quiet. The breakfast (buffet) was extensive and good. We didn't like the restaurant as much (Mexican), but that's personal. The immediate surroundings of the hotel were messy (industrial area). You can quickly reach Basel (approximately 6 km to the center).

Super bad. Rebooking the date was impossible. Indifference at its finest.

The room is a bit old, but still comfortable.

Very good hotel

We had a wonderful stay in December of 2023. The bed was comfortable, room warm but had a standing fan for some circulation. Hotel staff very nice and helpful and the best part of all was the breakfast. By far our best hotel breakfast in a 16 day trip across 4 countries and 8 different hotels.

We had a best stay in Carathotel. Hotel staff and hotel is awesome. Breakfast is fantastic, rooms are spacious and it is very clean and sound proof. Definitely I will stay again in this hotel.

The Carathotel is like a trip back to the 1980s. Everything is original except maybe the television but the hotel is well maintained and everything is clean and everything works. The breakfast that came with the room was particularly good. There were oranges and a station with a press for us to squeeze our own juice.

Simple but comfortable hotel. Our room was spacious with a nice view and the breakfast buffet was great. The hotel also has a tex-mex restaurant if you don't feel like going out. If you arrive by car there's a free parking and don't miss the very close-by and amazing Vitra campus.

We were very impressed by the cleanliness and the breakfast buffet. We had a room on the 9th floor so spacious and the view is awesome on the city of Basel.
