The new Silentnight bed was too hard. The staff are wonderful but, there are not enough. Food is good value and a good choice. Within walking distance of Wells.

Hotels was fine and the usual Premier Inn experience. On the down side the beds were uncomfortable Whatever you do, DO NOT eat in the evening. The food was awful. I ordered the veggie burger and it was soggy, staff didn’t seem to care. We ordered food together but they served my partner and 10+ minutes later my food arrived. It must be a different cook for breakfast as the breakfast was very good. I would not stay at or recommend the Wells Somerset Hotel.

We booked 2 rooms to stay nearby for a funeral. Attempted check in using the screen but member of staff was available and that was much quicker. Room was a premier plus which has a few touches like iron and ironing board, nicer toiletries and coffee maker. One of rooms had a musty smell. Had breakfast- cooked was good but continental could be improved. Crumpet was stale and cool table was so cold the berries had frozen and stuck to the bottom of the bowl! Limited choice but service was friendly and coffee machine issue was quickly dealt with.

I stayed here with my husband and two young children. The hotel was modern with lots of parking (would be nice if parking was free to customers). The room was modern, spacious and clean. The family room had a large double with two singles, which was much better than the double sofa bed included in most other hotel family rooms. The breakfast was good. Wells was a lovely place to explore and only 10 min walk down the road. All in all, excellent value and I highly recommend for a family stay - all the basics done very well.

I chose this Premier inn over the the overs in the area due to the reviews and pictures and it turned out to be a perfect choice. We booked a Premier plus which meant we had a coffee machine and fridge in the room which was handy. The reception was unmanned when we arrived but self check in was easy - although you only get 1 keycard which proved problematic later. ( I went to Morrisons to get snacks and drinks without the only key and you cannot access the lifts or stairs without one- found a member of staff to let me through) The room was a very good PI room and faced to the rear. We had a good nights sleep in a comfortble bed and checkout and car park was hassle free. The town is less than a mile away so walkable if you want to get breakfast off site.

I have already given a review of my stay here last night. And it was a nigh**are, and no I would stay here again if it was free, BUT I will add this, as I need to be totally honest. We did go down and have breakfast, and it was very nice food. The Irish chef was so nice and helpful, and his food was lovely and fresh. Shame he didnt control the rest of the hotel, because that is a mess.... Credit where credit due. If it wasnt for him it would be zero stars.

No one on reception on arrivals, and check in machines broken! Disabled parking full of non disabled people. The room as clean, but the bed was horrid, lumpy and saggy and a shame the toilet stunk of pee, made the room smell too. Cant open a window, and it gets really stuffy at night. Parking! just to get that last £! you pay to stay here, they dont explain this to you, you have to ask. So please be aware, as they dont remind you!

Good location, traveled up for sporting event with my son. Found it nice and easy and just opposite large supermarket which is useful. Easy to park and close to hotel. Checkin desks broken, and had to wait for a member of staff. Room smelt of cigarette smoke (219), the floor was dirty and the bathtub unclean. Reported the cigarette smell but was told hotel full and little they could do. They offered to come up and spray, but did not. All in all not the best stay and not what I have normally experienced from premier inn. Cost was quite a lot for this level of service.

Horrific restaurant service. I suffer from allergies and they couldn’t offer basic catering of providing information in terms of what I can and can’t eat. Honestly do not reccomend visiting here ever as they are understaffed and abysmal at catering.
