Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Wenchang Reviews

I recently stayed at this wonderful hotel and had an exceptional experience. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered a stunning seaview that made our stay truly memorable. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially Bella, who provided us with detailed information about the local area and ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. An exceptional highlight was when we accidentally left some belongings behind after checkout. Mindy went above and beyond to assist us. She took the initiative to post our items to our next hotel in a different city and even covered the cost herself. Overall, the staff were exceedingly helpful, and their outstanding service made our stay extraordinary. Highly recommended!

Yuki service was excellent. The room is big and nice. The only drawback is the location. However , they provide a list of places that is easy accessible by didi. Great place for relaxation.

Room has a musty smell, seems like nobody has stayed in for awhile. Staff was friendly though.

Housekeeping standard were poor. no change of bedsheet, used cups on the sink not washed, floor were not vacuumed and cleaned. breakfast buffet have varieties but the standard and qulaity of food is below average. bathtub at the balcony were dirty.

Even though my husband and I are far away from home, the housekeeper Anni has provided us the hospitality by recommending us places of interests and a place where we could have a good meal. She even helped us book the high speed rail tickets together with her colleague Mindy and reminded me gently to check out on time to catch the train. Kudos to Anni and Mindy!

Good hotel just nothing around...you need to search for food

Great Hotel and great Service only little minus point: about 1km to the beach ... but easy to go there

Katherine in guest services was amazing help to us. Hotel was very clean, room was amazing and facilities looked good too. I’d stay here again.

There was an issue the night i arrived. I first went to see friends across the bay, some 16km away, and upon calling the hotel they confirmed i could check-in at any late hour. I hung out with my friends til 1:30 AM and to my surprise there were no taxi or didi drivers available. Unfortunately the hotel didn't have the contact of a trusty driver to help pick me up. I was thus incapable to reach the hotel. At least the next day when i arrived the process to get the refund went smoothly. The hotel is overall very nice. But maintenance wasn't so great - balcony wasn't very clean and sofa had some damage. My friends had to change room as it smelled too much of mould. We found some hallways had the same problem. The hotel has some nice facilities. Sadly the weather those two days didn't quite allow us to enjoy the outside pool, but we enjoyed a nice workout in the gym.

This place have a big standing the room is just amazing! Big swimming pool , good place to chill and take a rest ! The working people a very nice ! Breakfast is just perfect , Chinese and western . The only problem it's just a little bit far to the center is you want walk but they have some driver can bring you where you want . This place is just amazing

Good: - Rooms are really nice and quite comfy - equipment / infrastructure in the hotel is good, incl. pool site, gym etc. - service at the front desk is also quite nice, especially Katherine is super helpful and could respond to us within minutes! Big thanks! - also the service at the pool side is very good, brought us towels, help to put some beds together etc. Not so good: - waiters in the restaurant; one day there were almost no dishes available anymore, the food was already empty 1 hour before closure, and the floors was looking quite messed up; what was also annoying that even quite a lot of people were coughing, but the waiters were not reminding that it is better that everybody should wear a mask while taking the food - some restaurants which we would like to visit were closed, like the Japanese ginza restaurant in the hotel - room service a bit inflexible. We wanted to eat within the lounge area, but it was not possible to get the food to there, even tough nobody else was sitting there
