The room is nice but is lacking, has a fridge but no microwave so you can’t reheat anything. There is so much construction going on that I have to actually walk outside and around the building to access the rest of my group or the restaurant. They Have restrictions on Wi-Fi so you can’t access your streaming services. But it’s a decent place to sleep if that’s all you’re looking for.

To begin, the place is undergoing heavy remodeling in advance of changing it's name, and the rooms appear nicer and freshly updated. But that is about all of the positive aspects. Rooms will no longer have dressers, to store clothing and the "closet" area to hang items, is barely 3 feet wide. Showers have only a partial glass wall, so overspray/ runoff will likely keep the floor and toilets cleaner, reducing the amount of housekeeping needed. Tv pixeled out for most of the night, indicating low internet speed or slow tv refresh rates. Perhaps the tv will be better closer to 4 am when fewer guests are likely to be using theirs. I have stayed here a number of times in past years, but if you only need to be here for 1-2 nights, you can live out of your suitcase/ travel bag. Otherwise, search for another establishment.

No pool, No breakfast, No hot tub, No elevator. Nothing was posted online about the pool under construction, and no breakfast of any kind but still charging full price. The room was nice but if I would have known about the rest I would have chosen another hotel.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was clean , modern and comfortable. The hot tub and pool were delightful ! Staff was delightful and helpful Will return ! Highly recommend!! All areas were awesome !’

The hotel is decorated in a woods lodge theme currently. There was a sign that remodeling was happening in 2024. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The hotel was quiet. There is a restaurant attached for meals. We did not get a chance to try it. We would stay here again.

As others have mentioned, the hotel has a strong lumberjack theme. Our room was nice, clean and had comfortable beds. Breakfast in the restaurant was standard fare of eggs, etc. and reasonably priced. The one downside is that there is no elevator. After checkin, I was surprised that we had to carry luggage up a flight of stairs.

Ok my first impression was like “What?!” The Lobby was a lot to take in, but wow- the owners put so much effort into the lumberjack theme! Very interesting things to see and read about the local history. Many old photos, I wish there had dates on them. Many antique tools and items on display! There was custom made iron decor with elk, light fixtures and lamps! We had a balcony over the interior courtyard which housed a large pool. There was a strong smell of chlorine in there, could have used some ventilation. Also had a pool table. I enjoyed hearing the kids having fun. I was disappointed there was no breakfast included, but we did receive a 25% off coupon for the attached restaurant. There was a great store in the property too. Reminded me of the kind you find at campgrounds. A great variety of things for sale! Bed was comfy, water and towels were soft, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, iron and hairdryer all in room.

We have stayed here before when traveling downstate form the U.P of Michigan. It's a great halfway point if leaving Friday night. Rooms are clean and quiet. We got the room with the hot tub knowing we were going to be getting there too late to use the pool area. I was very happy to turn on the jets to the hot tub and find it clean! That is Not always the case in a hotel. We took advantage of the attached restaurant and 25% off coupon they give you at the front desk. The food is excellent, and the staff is friendly. Also took advantage of the gift shop which had some really nice quality items for gifts.

The hotel decided after already being there for two days that they were unaware of our service animal that we had checked in with two days prior. They kicked us out of our room and failed to recognize the fact that she was indeed a service animal, even mocking me stating, she barked when the housekeeper knocked. Service animals don’t do that. They failed to recognize our rights according to the ADA when staying in a hotel with a service animal. We stayed in this hotel or had events for the last 40+ years. I’ve never had an issue or problem with this hotel. This year was the complete opposite, rude, condescending staff, and a manager that was arrogant and determined to just get his way instead of hearing what is customer had to say.
