My husband and I were so very pleased with our one-night stay at the Chesterfield Inn. I booked this night on relatively short notice on Memorial Day as we were going to Woodstock VT for two nights that Tuesday-Thursday. Booking was easy and all was as advertised. If anything, my expectations we exceeded by the lovely experience. We were notified that the restaurant would not be open on the holiday although they would be serving full breakfast in the morning. They provided a list of restaurants nearby and we opted to go to one on the list in Brattleboro VT for a late lunch on our way to the Inn. The check in was efficient and easy with great customer service. Our room was perfect. Although we could see the main road from our room, we never heard any traffic noise. We had cookies and snacks in our room and had an amazing night's sleep. In the morning there was coffee available off the lobby which we enjoyed prior to showering and being seated for breakfast. The delicious meal was a highlight of stay with my husband raving about the apple pancakes made just as he remembered from his youth, made with fresh apples, not apple sauce. I enjoyed my omelet with fresh veggies and wheat toast. Service was phenomenal. We departed for our trip to Vermont and were notified that we left our rainjackets in the closet, and they held them for us until our return. Excellent experience and I highly recommend Chesterfield Inn!

Everything you'd want in a B&B - classic historic building (but with modern amenities, including a free charger for our car), super friendly and accommodative staff, delicious restaurant and a scenic location (and even a friendly cat - Yoda - curled up on a chair in front of the fireplace in the lobby)..

My husband, our dog, and I just returned from a lovely weekend in southern New Hampshire at the Chesterfield Inn. We were in one of the four rooms that allow pets, and it was spacious, beautiful, and inviting. We had a gas fireplace, king sized bed, and french door access to a private patio and the expansive back yard. The proprietor and her staff are gracious and accommodating. The day before our arrival I requested special pillows and sure enough, they were on the bed when we got to the room. Breakfast in the beautiful dining room was delicious and the fireplaces in the dining room and entrance were great places to relax. The Inn is right around the corner from Brattleboro, VT and just a few hours from Westchester. We will be back.

Our stay local getaway to relax, unplug, and eat well! Suite was perfect, cozy fireplace, old time desk with all info we could need for our stay. May I say the bedroom had country/classic feel, bedding was fresh n soft. All linens were nicely folded and more than we needed for our stay. All staff were friendly and always cheerful, helpful with all of our needs. Tea and coffee with fresh cookies when we arrived to enjoy a nice touch. We also had a very nice cheese and fruit platter waiting for us in our room. The restaurant was so quaint and classic, peaceful, never rushed. the food was all great, even for myself that likes my filet mignon cooked med/well most chefs hate to do it and rarely is it done enough, but last evening it was a win, win. My husband had the butternut squash ravioli was very good. Desert was delish. But must say the Breakfast was outstanding, but the scones were the best, so fresh. And we enjoyed watching the snowfall while eating breakfast. Will be returning again soon.

My husband and I, recently returned for a 3-night stay. This was our second time staying at the Chesterfield Inn Bed and Breakfast, it's so relaxing. We did the “date your mate” add on both times and enjoyed it. We will definitely be booking another trip back. Chesterfield Inn is lovely and you look out of your rooms window to see the mountains in the background. The rooms are very clean and spacious, some with fireplaces and some are two room suites. Breakfast is included and is served in the lovely dining room, starts with fresh baked muffins and fruit. The cinnamon French toast is really good and the maple syrup, which is served warm, comes from a local farm. We enjoyed dinner there one night, and the food was great, and the portions were large. I highly recommend having dinner on premise at least one night during your stay. Service for both breakfast and dinner were exceptional. Our original room, #17, was spacious and very clean, however, we ended up with a small issue and Judy and Phil were very accommodating and moved us to room 15, which was absolutely lovely. It was a two-room suite with a gas fireplace that we enjoyed in the evening. The bed was very comfortable. We had everything we needed, including a small refrigerator. Judy went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable with our new room. We are already planning our return visit and next time will be booking room 12, as this is truly a very special inn. Judy and Phil, along with all their staff are very kind and caring. Thank you all very much for a lovely stay. See you on our next stay.

This is a delightful place that thinks of everything. We arrived at a dreary time of day and was met with a fire, pumpkin bread and tea. The Inn is on a main road but you would never know it when you're inside. It is a very quiet place which makes it very peaceful. Everyone there was so friendly, The accommodations were very nice and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The owner is terrific - the right tone is struck here by being both elegant and cozy. Would definitely stay again.

I loved walking into the inn and being greeted by Judy with “Welcome Home” because that phrase perfectly describes the level of comfort I feel whenever I stay here. I have lost track of the number of times I have escaped to the Chesterfield Inn, but I no longer consider myself just a random traveler looking for accommodations. It is a joy to spend time at this serene country inn for at least a week during foliage season. I always look forward to the wonderful upscale amenities and interacting with the phenomenal people who provide them. You don’t need to worry about anything - just relax and enjoy the beautiful New Hampshire surroundings. Whether sunny or raining cats and dogs, the Chesterfield Inn will make your heart sing. And there’s always Yoda to make you smile at no extra charge!!!

We spent several nights in room 24 in late September. The location is convenient to several highways, but quiet and peaceful. The surrounding were beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is delicious and varied. They will deliver it to your room, if you wish, but the view in the breakfast room is lovely. We enjoyed dinner there one night. It was by far the best meal of our trip. Although it was our first time here, we hope to stay again.

I would have rated this inn as exceptional except for two things: the loud banging of the plumbing pipes in the room in which we stayed (Room 14) that disturbed my sleep and the inappropriate response of the owner of the inn. When I told him about the noise on Tuesday, he asked me if it is the plumbing and told me he would look into it. Late Wednesday night, I approached him again and told him that the noise is emanating from the exposed pipe in the closet or under the sink. He said he could do nothing about it. I asked for a discount and he responded by saying you are free to leave. He never offered us another room. Very poor customer service.
