We stayed after a racing event at Chepstow. Prebooked dinner on the first evening and what a delight. There is a 'limited' (for want of a better word) menu but personally it's better to have fewer dishes done really well than mediocre food. Try the pineapple chutney, it's amazing! If it had been available to purchase I would have bought several jars Complimentary amuse bouche soup and cheese straws to begin the meal was a really lovely touch (and really tasty) LOVED the graphics on both menus which had depictions of where the food has been sourced and the distance it's travelled. Our room was comfortable and well presented. Having chilled juice, water and milk available in a fridge near our room was a massive bonus, as was the dolce gusto machine and assorted pods. A good choice for us both. If I had to be super critical of the room it would be that the window was a bit high and made the room a bit dark - Electric lights solved any issues but natural light is always better. Not all rooms had this issue. At 5ft 8 I was able to rest my chin on the sill and look out but anyone shorter would struggle Breakfasts each day were amazing. Really good continental choice as well as cooked breakfast, really plentiful, tasty and good quality. Really set us up for the day. Despite being on a main road, traffic was quiet and didn't disturb us even though we had the window open all night Wi-fi in the room was strong and fast - good for keeping in touch with elderly family back home We wouldn't hesitate in staying again when we're in the area. Well done the owners and staff
