We stayed in a king bed accessible room with a roll in shower. There was no seat in shower, despite ADA rules that specify an attached seat should be there. They did bring a portable shower chair. The room was spacious and the bed was good. We enjoyed the bar on the first floor and got a good recommendation for dinner from friendly bartender. It was quiet with no road noise or noise within the hotel. There are no USB ports in the rooms, so bring your own wall charger. We have spent the last 8 weeks in mostly Hilton family hotels (gold member) and the breakfast they offer here is definitely a step above all others. Fresh pineapple was juicy and delicious; other fresh fruits also very good. Thick cut French toast with powdered sugar was prepared at kitchen open to serving line. Bacon was more tasty and had been cooked exactly right. Many other breakfast options. Afternoon free cookies were also a treat.

I am a 10 year Hilton Diamond member. This was the best stay I've had at a Hilton Garden Inn in over 2 years. For a hotel that is @ 15 years old, it looks fresh and modern. The only obvious standouts was a shower tub vs. walk in shower along with a lack of USB plugins. My room however was spotless and everything I needed was there including a cold refrigerator. The Bar / Restaurant are well staffed with professionals. The menu is a bit small, however what is on there is made fresh and made well. You would expect a great pork chop in Iowa and this group does not disappoint. Not sure about the Fish & Chips, however the rest all looked amazing A friendly / engaging bartender helps as well. Even breakfast featured a nice plate display of offerings and a buffet with actual fresh items offering and presented perfectly. Talk about fast, both days order fresh scrambled eggs as part of my breakfast we delivered to my table in under 5 minutes and cooked perfectly. Everyone at the hotel was friendly, engaging and made me feel welcome. This team seriously set the bar for every other property I stay at.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to a few attractions, shopping, and the pool / hot tub. The room was clean and for the most part the staff was friendly. The pool area and hot tub were nice, but the hot tub jets didn't work. The entry area, pool area, and hallways were a bit noisy as there were lots of kids running around from a baseball or softball tournament. This isn't the hotel's fault, but it definitely affected our stay. If you simply need a room for the night in this area then this would be a decent option. For what we paid, though, we probably wouldn't stay here again.

Location is pretty good. Staff was friendly. The room I stayed in had an odd smell, maybe fumigated recently, not sure. I did not complain to the front desk so in fairness no opportunity for them to resolve. The room appeared to be recently, partially renovated, bathroom updated but the rest of the room could have other items replaced. The AC woke me several times throughout the night. Overall, it wouldn't be my first choice in the area.
