"We recently hosted our son's wedding reception at The Rewind Hotel in W Des Moines, IA. We were blown away by the exceptional service and attention to detail provided by the entire team! From the planning to the execution of the event, the staff were professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of the reception was perfect. When flowers didn’t arrive the event coordinator calmly said we’ve got this and none of the guest knew of the last minute save - it was beautiful. The food was above and beyond, guest even took pictures because the plating was so beautiful. The sound system and lighting the motel has available made our celebration lively and joyful. The hotel's event coordinator, Casey Burt, couldn’t have made it easier - he was highly organized, responsive, and made sure that every detail was taken care of. To be honest the entire staff, from the front desk to the servers and bartenders , were all friendly and efficient. We received countless compliments from our guests on the food, drinks, and overall atmosphere of the reception. It was truly a night to remember, and we are so grateful to The Rewind for helping us create such special memories. If you're looking for a venue for a wedding reception or any other special event, we highly recommend The Rewind. They truly deserve a 5-star rating!"

Check in was easy. Unfortunately when I was trying to connect to Wi-Fi, I had problems. Turned out that when I checked in it did not show that I did check in. So my Wi-Fi would not work. They compensated me for one free drink and free breakfast the next morning. My room was large and very nice. My breakfast the next morning was wonderful.

The Rewind West Des Moines is an ok hotel. It has some great points such as location, $13.95 buffet breakfast, great bar in the Italian Restaurant, king studios (has a door to the bedroom so great if someone is up late or has to work and needs quiet space). But that being said, the sound of the heat and especially a/c units is deafening. My husband and I even used ear plugs and we were awakened all night when the a/c kicked on like a locomotive. It’s too bad because it woulda coulda been great.

We loved our experience at The Rewind! This was the perfect hotel to host our wedding at. The staff were amazing, the food was wonderful, and my guests have not stopped telling me how much they enjoyed their time. I highly recommend The Rewind for your wedding venue or just a fun hotel to stay at. This place is worth every penny!!

We have previously held our Annual Meeting in downtown Des Moines, but this year we decided to move it to The Rewind. It turned out to be the best decision we've made. All the participants had only amazing things to say about the hotel, the rooms, the meeting facilities, the staff, and the food. They all went above and beyond to make this meeting seamless and a memorable experience. We are already looking forward to holding the meeting at The Rewind again next year. The hotel staff, especially Casey, Fran, and the front desk staff, provided us with 5-star level customer service. Thank you Rewind, for making our meeting one to remember.

The staff is AMAZING! The were always friendly and willing to help before we asked. The front desk always greeted us with a smile, Captain Kevin went above and beyond to shuttle us around, the banquet staff were engaging and made sure our meetings went off without a hitch. Some of the best customer service I have received in the hospitality industry.

We had a group of 20-25 guests. The food was fantastic. The room was a great set up and they were able to seat up in the dining room for dinner. The event was extremely easy to coordinate as the event planner was always very responsive & catered to our needs!
