Appears to be set in nice area, however is in car park of a main service area so lots of noise. Breakfast was inedible box and no choice or willingness to explore options give ~£25 pounds for 4 breakfasts

Really good ,I'd read this lodge needed refurb ,but I had room 6 which was lovely ,smart and,clean so maybe has been refurbed ? not many channels worked though on the t.v and the grass needs cutting ,borders tidying ,but really great value .thank you . I will be returning

A really pleasant stay with amenities very close by. Would I stay here again? Absolutely it's very conveniently located just off the A30. I have stayed there before and was happy to find spaces available on the build up to Easter.

I recently stayed two nights at Whiddon Down Travel Lodge on my way to and from a club motorcycle ride in Cornwall. Parking was easy,I was able to park my bike in one of the bays right outside the front door, which made unloading and loading the bike easier in all the rain. The room was clean and tidy, comfy bed, and a really good heater which is easy to adjust to suit. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is cafe next door, and a petrol station with a Morrisons shop, a hot pies and pasties counter, so food and drink was no problem. there is also a pub "Post Inn" just down the road. I can definitely recommend this Travel Lodge as a good place to stop over.

Basic travelodge older style hotel with friendly reception staff and is in a really handy location off of the A30 has a nearby garage with shops and hog and hedge cafe such a useful location on the way to Cornwall we will definitely visit there again.

Budget hotel stay which was fit for purpose and exactly what we required. Hotel provided a good night's sleep and was nice and clean. Bit expensive as a Friday night and was therefore unable to use nhs discount. Free on site parking which was a bonus.

I don’t know whether the hotel has had a refurb but it was definitely better then when I stayed about 15 months ago. I stayed on the first floor, the room was comfortable and clean and provided plenty of tea coffee milk you could also top up in reception. Reception staff pleasant and informative.Free parking, there is WiFi but only get 30 minutes free within 24 hours, which I thought it should have been included. Stayed 2 nights and found accommodation to be of good value.

Great super cheap, clean accomodation but beware. There is no food locally on a Sunday evening. Comfy bed clean although the sheets were scented which was not good for my allergies. Pleasant staff and plenty of parking in February.

This hotel needs update . More plug socket usb sockets Information where u can eat and times map of where they are too More chairs in the room a table may also help if a business trip Staff where great
