My husband, our daughter and I have just returned from an overnight stay at The Tickled Trout. From the moment we checked in, the staff were extremely friendly and polite and nothing appeared too much trouble. The young male that met us even offered to help carry the bags up to our room. We stayed in the Balfour Suite. The room was large in size and had all amenities you could require. The bed was very big and super comfortable! The coffee machine was a nice added touch to the room and I really like how each coffee pod taste was explained. Decor was lovely! We had our evening meal there. The staff again were extremely pleasant. Leon the general manager was extremely welcoming and ensured that our stay was nothing less than perfect, checking constantly that we had everything we needed. My daughter is still in a pram so the server ensured that we had enough space around us for the pram. The food was absolutely delicious. I couldn’t fault any of it. In fact, the beef and mushroom pie may even be one of the best pies I have tasted! We also had starters and dessert, all of which were very tasty. Breakfast the following day was also lovely. We were greeted by Leon and a young female who were both friendly and asked how we slept. Breakfast was very good quality and plentiful. We certainly didn’t leave hungry. Thank you for having us. We will definitely be returning and bringing our family for a nice meal soon. Well done Leon and team! Leisha

Lovely stay at the Tickled Trout. Fantastic breakfast. The Carvery was lovely too. Very comfortable.
