I stayed with my daughter at the Hampton Inn by Hilton & Suites Pittsburgh/waterfront-west homestead from 2/12/24 - 2/15/24. I was in Pittsburgh for a funeral for my Mother. I have stayed at this location many times before. This time, was a very bad experience. First, I requested Housekeeping service on Tuesday which I was told, no problem, and Housekeeping never came. I advised on Weds morning that I requested Housekeeping the day prior where no one ever came. I received an apology, was told this will be taken care of with housekeeping right away and someone will come up to clean the room, and no one ever came. The mini fridge was broken the entire time we were there. There were potato chip crumbs underneath the air conditioning by the Window. I asked the front desk for a hair dryer for my daughter so that she could get ready for the funeral, was told someone would bring one to our room right away, no one came after an hour passed, and I went back to the front desk again and advised this needs to be taken care of right away as we had to leave for the cemetery. Finally received a hair dryer. On the day we were leaving for the airport to have breakfast downstairs around 7:20am - 7:30am, there were 3 girls who obviously were not staying at the hotel, and had a large cooler container that they were stuffing all the food into. They were blocking my daughter and I from getting to the waffle station and we had to catch a plane. The one girl even took the whipped cream and sprayed it in her mouth. I did see a worker from the kitchen come out, looked over at what they were doing, and went back in the kitchen again. If you have security cameras in this area, you will see exactly what I am referring to. I don't know what is going on with this hotel operationally, and as mentioned, I have stayed here several times before, but this was an awful experience and I do expect to receive compensation back for everything I just mentioned as a credit on my credit card. Currently waiting for someone to get in touch with me to have this resolved. Still waiting for response from Management even after I was told someone would get in touch with me.
