Place is lovely inside very modern, we had a problem with the tap in the bath not working, when we reported to reception they offered to sort something out at our dinner. We ordered our food and drinks, the table next to us got seated and overheard the server offer the first round free for the issue they had with the bath, I had to let the server know it was actually ourselves that had the issue, they then took the first round off our bill which was great, the issue with the bath was quite unfortunate as one of the reasons we booked was for the jacuzzi bath but we appreciate the efforts from the hotel to apologise. Room itself was really warm at night and struggled to sleep well. The views of the beach were great. Food was lovely, expensive for what it was. Breakfast was great with a lot of choice and it being included in the room rate was a bonus.

I can't comment on the rooms as I didn't stay there. My friend and I popped in for a change of scene and a cup of tea after a horrid meal at a nearby hotel. What a lovely, welcoming, relaxing place to sit and have a cuppa, beautifully presented, not just plunked on the table, by smiling wait staff. The restaurant was extremely busy but the 3 staff members worked so hard, serving everyone with a smile on their faces. We were so impressed with everything we decided to book dinner for the following evening. Next evening we were seated and introduced to our server, Sophie, who took our drink order and then our meal order. She chatted away to us, telling us firstly about the food, no quibbles about changing some of the items offered to something more to our taste. Order in, she came back and we asked about the hotel which she happily talked about, never making us feel we were wasting her time. Everyone was treated to a wee chat and smiles and fabulous meals. The food was excellent, couldn't have been better, presented well and tasted fantastic. All of the staff should be patted on the back for how professionally they carried out their work and how welcoming they made everyone. We'll certainly be back to the Waterside Hotel.

I was recently at The Waterside Hotel for my mums wedding and the place didn't disapoint. Not only is the hotel beautiful, and the views stunning but the staff really made the day so much better. I cannot thank everyone that helped with the wedding enough, especially wee Sophie behind the bar that was a wee hero that didn't even realise, helping my auntie. Thank you for looking after us and the contribution your staff gave to making the day magical for the newlyweds! Will definitely be back to take advantage of the views, couldn't recommend enough!

We stayed a night for my husbands 50th birthday, we liked the location of the hotel and staff were friendly. Unfortunately the bed was very uncomfortable, which left me sore for days after. This really put a dampener on our stay as it was a special occasion. On return I emailed the manager, to which I received the reply that they hadn’t received any other complaints about the mattress, which was disappointing as it was very uncomfortable for me and didn’t solve the problem. Wouldn’t recommend and definitely wont be back!! Couldnt care less, they have your money and not interested in your complaint!! AVOID!

Excellent hotel, excellent rooms, excellent meal and drinks, excellent walks on the beach and an excellent breakfast to see us home. Stayed here a few times, on the DBB and a bottle of prosecco deal which is usually very good value. It's a lovely hotel and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommend, especially the sea view rooms, a sunset over Arran is something to see.

Have stayed in this beautiful hotel more than once ,and it just gets better each time, the room had a view to "die for" and was absolutely "pristine" it was very spacious.and the decor was so in keeping with the area !!!! Utterly relaxing ,the Jacuzzi bath was such a luxurious treat to finish our night !!! The standard of food was extremely high as was the choices available, simply superb in taste and presentation !!! Each member of staff was warm and friendly , highlighting Sophie in restaurant who served us dinner , just a little bundle of joy, and also Rebecca on Reception ,just charming !!! Cannot wait for our next visit !!!! Thank You Waterside Superb X
