HORRIFIC!!!!!! I am an IHG member. Notiifed the property of my arrival and reason for the stay. I stayed for a week as I attended my brother's funeral. After a 15 hour car drive and the trauma and grief of my brother's death. I was not up for trying to "find" another place of lodging. As an IHG member, I expected better and have NEVER had such hideous and piss poor service. I was to be joined by a few other family members, but they contracted COVID. I was checked into a first and a second room and both were filthy and both were handicapped accessible which was not requested or needed. My eventual room was missing towels/tissue and soap. BIG mix-up in the price. I talked with the desk clerk and was told that the general manager would resolve in the morning. I was at the desk bright and early and the general manager eventually strolls in and says she would check into the matter. I talked numerous times to the general manager manager to "fix" the matter and it never happened. The general manager is a liar and avaidied me like the plaque and gave me round-around and brush off kind of excuses. The mini-fridge or shower leaked excessively and flooded the room entrance several times. Thnere were patches on the walls of caulking to patch up other leaks. Maintenance was not available. Had to go to desk to get towels to put on floor & was afraid to use microwave or refrigerator as electrocution was possible .I hate like heck that I did NOT take pictures of this deplorable situation. Housekeeping did not speak English as a first language or second nor did they quite understand anything I was saying. I am demanding justice on this matter. With the loss of a family member and to have to endure such BAD and NEGLECTFUL service is unheard of at most!!! On my floor, there was a constant foul bad odor of backed up sewage.I bought several cans of air freshener to try to get rid of this smell. I overheard one of the desk clerks tell an incoming guest that there were some plumbing issues and that they had only 2 rooms available and if the guess wanted to "self check "the room and the odor, the desk clerk would give him a can of air freshener and knock off $30 for the room. The guest was a truck driver and had to rest as he had about 3 hours more to get to Nashville but was exhausted and needed to rest for a couple of hours and shower, but did not want to sleep in his rig or shower at the truck stop service station. The 2 ladies on the breakfast area staff were very friendly and attentive.....the only positive from this bad experience!! I would not recommend this hell hole to my worst enemy. I was over-charged for bad service and want this matter remedied!!! In hindsight, I should have not stayed here and after 2 different rooms at check in not being cleaned.....THAT should have been my sign to keep it moving! I should have followed what my gut was teling me.
