I booked this hotel months ago and they have cancelled at short notice, no reason just sorry. I am 400 miles from home and have had to search for an alternative which is available and affordable. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL

Got a call to tell me the booking was cancelled one week before arrival, no reason was given. I booked the room 8 months in advance for the Great North Run. I asked for alternative accommodation (they have multiple hotels around Newcastle), and I was told they "don't do rebookings". With 7 days to go, there are no hotel rooms available in Newcastle and the "services" rep didn't care at all. Call me sceptical, but you can sell rooms around Newcastle for £300+ right now for the Great North Run weekend.

Popped along here for a quick pint recently and imagine my dismay when I arrived to find the place largely burned down. Despite my repeated shouts for service, no staff member arrived and this meant that I had to go without my pint. The carpark was bereft of cars which suggested - and I may be jumping the gun here - that the place might be closed. Sad and confused, I made my way home for a can, shouting about which fish I feel would be best equipped for space travel all the way back.

Booked a room for a journey down south as a stop-over, they cancelled at last minute without a good reason. They subsequently advised they had booked a sister hotel in Durham, no notice of price. When I looked on ***********, the price was between 150 and 400 pounds per night!! What an absolute scam!!

Booked our trip months ago, rooms were confirmed, they took my money 2 days prior to arriving. On the day of our trip they even emailed to tell us to enjoy our stay. When we arrived we discovered the hotel closed and boarded up! That's fraud in my book!

Absolute joke, DO NOT BOOK with them. Our booking was booked way back in march, and the day before we were due to arrive , they cancelled our booking and left us with no accommodation. I would give it 0 stars if this was an option!!
