The ladies at the front desk were helpful and very nice. They tried to accommodate us. So, my complaint is about the horrible conditions of the hotel. First, when I made my reservation (30+ days in advance), I contacted the hotel and inquired about the state of the room due to some of the negative reviews online. I was informed I would be placed in the "new" section of the hotel. When I checked in, I was told the new section was under-maintained. Also, the pool is only open on the weekend (Friday to Sunday). However, the hotel did not post it, nor was I informed during the reservation process. I was given the keys to both of my rooms. We proceeded to our rooms. The hotel hallways are dark (poor lighting) and filthy. The walls are dirty. All the side entrances were full of garbage and dirty. The first room stunk of cigarettes and possibly *********. I had to be moved to another room without the nasty smell. However, both of our room AC units look like a safety hazard. The AC units were nasty. My family woke up after two hours due to a persistent cough and did not fall sleep after. We did not have another choice but to stay because, due to college graduations in the area, the rest of the hotels were full. I submitted a complaint and was credit points to the account—NO response from management. Do not stay here.
