I arrived late (2315 hours) although within their check in windows, but they had the room keeps ready for me in the room, so I was able to get straight in without any fuss. Brilliant service - thanks.

Had a great stay in a very warm and clean room. Not a complaint but a previous guest has sadly decided to place a hot iron on the carpet and scorch it.. Didnt effect my stay but sad to see. The only slight issue I had was the wifi kept dropping out and being unavailable. There was no EE signal in my room so infairness it was quiet, peaceful and allowed me to finish my book. Bar service and evening meal was great breakfast spot on. Would stay again maybe with a Jane Austin Novel next time

Really nice place to stay.. after a nightmare trying to find the place (roadworks problem not the hotel itself) I was welcomed with a big smile from Ruth.. she was a massive help throughout out my whole trip! Would definitely stay again

The restaurant and bar are sadly underwhelming with odd chairs stacked about the place and no ambience. The carvery meal was very poor. The vegetables overcooked, with bullet peas and a frankly inedible cauliflower and broccoli cheese that tasted sour and smelled of the fridge. In all, one of the worst meals I have tried and failed to eat, and for which they make you pay in advance. The rooms look like a value stay, so go ahead but eat elsewhere!

Visited for a family wedding. Absolutely fabulous experience. Everything was superb and the staff were amazing and so helpful. Food was great and the carvery well received by all. Thanks to everyone at the Angel for adding to a memorable day.

We had our wedding at the Angel hotel and had a very positive experience. Positives are- • staff are very friendly and accommodating wherever they can be. A real family feel. Great with wheelchair access and looking after elderly relatives. • Ceremony and reception room is stunning! Very modern and practical with a dance floor and small bar. • Food was delicious and we were given lots of options and flexibility. (Many compliments from our guests) • Affordable. They are able to offer different options to bring costs down and great with children as guests. • Lovely picturesque back garden for photos and grass drains well so even if it has been raining it doesn’t get muddy. Not so positives are- • the rest of the building could do with updating but this is a compromise you make for a better value wedding. • bit of an unpleasant smell in some rooms.
