Stayed here as a stop over driving a long road trip, the room was spacious and the bed comfy, what more can you ask for. Breakfast in the morning was well worth the price, the continental had a wide range of choices and the hot breakfast was lovely. The rooms may be tired but all the staff told me that there is a refurbishment happening soon and they all sounded very positive and excited about it.

We stayed here by chance and it was fantastic. The service was great and the bedroom was big and spacious. We had a king size four poster bed which was so comfortable. The room was a little tired but worth every penny. Breakfast the next morning was great we will definitely be back.

My wife and I have just returned from a lovely nights stay. The room is a little tired but it’s definitely reflected in the price. The service was great the room was clean and spacious. Breakfast the next morning was £12.50 but you got a great choice. We will be back

This was a pleasant mid range hotel. Staff were great - very friendly and attentive which set the tone really well. Decor is a bit tired though. The room was well equipped but too noisy for us - though what do you expect when it’s facing the main road! It was also too hot - the radiator was off but the hot water pipe feeding it still gave off lots of heat. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. A decent buffet, but poached eggs were smothered in a really unpleasant hollandaise - which we hadn’t noticed on the menu description. The bar was very pleasant. Overall it was ok but not much more.

Do not understand some of the negative comments on here. Firstly, this is a reasonably priced 3 star hotel so you get what you pay for. Some of the rooms are a little tired with creaky floors but this is a very old building full of character and we all liked our rooms. Very clean, comfy beds and large. We ate evening meal and breakfasts in the pub downstairs and it was lovely. Compliments to the chef. Good menu and again, not overpriced. We were a party of 8 staying 2 nights for a wedding at the golf club and were very comfortable. Good value and excellent location. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Thank You!

Went for a stroll today and decided to stop for a bite to eat, so glad we chose The King's Arms. The food was very tasty and nicely presented. The staff were friendly and a nice a**osphere overall. Would recommend and will be coming back very soon.

Came to the kings arms and had a lovely meal , the staff were very friendly and welcoming, would definitely recommend, will be coming here more often . The food is lovely and has a great a**osphere! The staff look after there customers very well .

Great food & service 👍 Will definately be back. The other reviews i've just read mention "the place needs updating" ,but it's a place with history in the middle of an historic village & should stay like that. Not everyone likes modern & poncy 😉

We visited the kings arms on Sunday for Mother’s Day. What can I say.. wow the food/service/a**osphere was impeccable. Made my mums day. Thank you to everyone who served us and the chefs too. Will definitely be returning here with friends and family!
