We have returned from a three night stay and it was wonderful. The weather really added to the great stay, ensuring we had great use of the fab facilities. The playground and football pitch were favourites. The go karts, archery and bowling were all an additional cost. I do think they should do a voucher for one use considering how expensive the stay is. Rooms were a great size, mini fridge also was useful. Shower maybe needed a deeper clean honestly. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. In particular, the staff at bbg and fortina were excellent dealing with our daughter’s allergies. Breakfast was good, plenty of selection. Dairy free yoghurt would’ve been a good addition. Overall, it was a lovely stay. Kids had so many options to keep them busy.

Just back from a 2 night stay in Amber Springs! Food was fantastic , and staff were super friendly in the restaurant. Kids amenities are so good, we didn’t have to leave the hotel! The outdoor area is so nice and very secure. The only thing I could fault was the cleanliness of the hotel, the mattresses were heavily stained with urine and so were the duvets. The couch in the hotel bedroom also smelt of urine. I know this is half expected in a family hotel but for the price the hotel charged it is no excuse. There was food marks on the wall and the babies cot was also quite dirty, I had to clean it down twice to try get food off the cot. The room and hotel could do with a deep clean, even the chairs in the lobby and restaurant had stains on that could easily be wiped. €4.70 for a cappuccino in hotel lobby. The swimming pool area and changing area is also a bit run down and the shower curtains were dirty and rusty. The lifeguard also ignored kids diving in and jumping in and my daughter got hit twice, parents are more responsible for this but lifeguard should enforce the rules of the pool. Overall great hotel for kids and lovely staff but room for improvement for cleanliness , especially for the price being charged.

Booked for a 2 night family break. Room was fine, double & single with fridge , table & chair, srandard rooms, shower was very powerful. Staff are very professional & helpful, from reception to waiting staff to cleaning . Facilities are fantastic , my 5 year old boy loved the softplay & play ground area, he enjoyed the go karts ,again the young lad working there was very helpful & friendly. Walking around the grounds was beautiful & peaceful, they're spotless & the greenry is really pretty. We really found the drinking water dispensers i fantastic idea , every hotel should provide this. Overall a great hotel, a little pricey but for a treat it is worth it, already thinking of booking again.

We really enjoyed our stay in Amber Springs. The staff were very friendly and happy to help if asked. There was a nice atmosphere in the hotel. The hotel itself was clean, well maintained and decorated very nicely. We enjoyed dinner in the burger place in particular but also enjoyed the terrace for food. Its a tad expensive if eating out all the time. We stayed in the family den. It was a great size and the children loved the bunk beds. Only very small criticism is that cups weren't changed when room service cleaned the room and tea bags and "milk" weren't replenished. Paying nearly 400e for a room per night, I thought that this probably should have been a given. In saying that, I know if I asked staff for more tea or clean cups i'm sure they would have gotten me one. I just felt it shouldn't have to be asked for. That aside I would say we had a very largely positive experience in the hotel. If you're looking for a few nights away with your family then I would certainly recommend.

We stayed at Amber Springs for 2 nights first weekend of July (Fri/Sat). Having read some of the reviews beforehand I was a little worried but didn’t need to be. This hotel really caters for families in a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are amazing and so attentive! We were lucky enough to have great weather while we were there so really got to enjoy the beautiful terrace/garden area, complete with its climbing frame which was a big hit with the grandkids. Our 3 and 4 year old grandsons absolutely loved everything about Amber Springs and didn’t want to leave!!! They loved the soft play area and Amber Park in particular and were having so much fun, they didn’t have time to check out the pool or cinema. We did the Wild West Train Experience (small fee) on Saturday which was really lovely. Ok so the train journey itself wasn’t too exciting but the animators were great in keeping the kids' attention and getting them involved in their mission. The Birds of Prey talk on Sunday morning was also excellent with the host really engaging with the children, remembering their names and making sure everyone got their turn to have a photo taken with the birds. There are several great food options in the hotel. Hot/cold buffet breakfast was served in the upstairs restaurant each morning and though busy, there were plenty of staff on hand. We ate dinner in BBG Bistro both evenings, which offers a wide range of food choices, portions are really generous and the kid's orders arrived really quickly. We also had delicious lunch in Farina’s on Saturday afternoon. In terms of accommodation, my daughter’s family stayed in one of the modern Family Den Suites which consisted of a huge main bedroom as well as a linked den complete with bunk beds which the kids loved. We stayed in a deluxe double room which consisted of a double and single bed. We were initially allocated a room on the ground floor right at the start of the accommodation corridors so it was quite noisy day/evening as everyone has to pass here to get to their rooms. The lift and vending machine were also right outside our door so we were in a particularly noisy section. We mentioned this to reception when we arrived but as the hotel was full they didn’t have an alternative room available on the first night, however they moved us to an upper floor room for the second night. Our only disappointment was in the standard of room we stayed in the first night, considering it was a "deluxe" room. Yes the ground floor room was a decent size, had a double and single bed, and was well equipped with the usual tv, safe, mini fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryer. However the bathroom was very dated and really needs to be brought up to the same standard as the other modern hotel rooms. The Amber Springs Hotel has gone to such great lengths to create an excellent family friendly facility for all ages to enjoy. We really enjoyed our stay and will de

We stayed here last week and we had such a fabulous stay. The air con was very much appreciated during the warm weather. Food and staff were amazing. We have a 2 year old and 7 month old and there is lots to keep them entertained.

Our family stay at the Amber Springs Hotel was marred by a serious security incident that has left us deeply concerned about the hotel’s safety standards. At 3AM, an intoxicated individual walked directly into our room while we were sleeping. To wake up and find a drunk stranger inside our room, while traveling with a young child, was a terrifying experience and our feeling of vulnerability was absolute. The issue stemmed from the room’s heavy fire door, which failed to automatically close and latch as it is designed to do. This is a clear maintenance and safety failure. What followed in the morning was just as disappointing as the incident itself. There was a complete absence of leadership; no member of management reached out to check on us or acknowledge the gravity of the situation. Instead, we were forced to repeatedly approach the front desk to demand a resolution and an explanation, having to chase the staff for any form of assistance or information. When we finally engaged with management, the response was shockingly dismissive. Instead of addressing the maintenance failure or the unacceptable safety breach involving an intoxicated intruder, the hotel insisted that we were at fault for "not closing the door." Suggesting that a family would deliberately leave their room door ajar in the middle of the night—especially when the door is a heavy, self-closing fire door—is an insulting deflection of responsibility. For a hotel that markets itself as a family-friendly destination, the dismissal of such a fundamental security breach and the total lack of proactive management care is completely unacceptable. If you are a parent choosing a hotel, please consider that safety and accountability should be the top priority. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. I would strongly advise other families to look elsewhere.

Rude male staff probably manager storming around complaining about laughing and small kids playing at 9pm in a free area where there were no other guests around at all, there are signs all around the hotel stating the quiet time is after 10pm.
