Marlfield House Hotel

Afternoon Tea is an experience to behold in Marlfield House. DAWN was really friendly, yet professional and ensured my cousin Jack from the USA certainly felt special. I would have favoured more savoury items, yet fear not, Jack finished everything and would have had more! The patisseries were mouth-watering and the staff really friendly and went out of their way to make everyone feel special. It was certainly worth the experience, altho' a tad on the expensive side. THANK YOU ALL - Chefs and Staff. - We loved it.!

First time stay, with another couple. At the hotel's suggestion we took a two-bedroom suite overlooking the pond. A great call. Suited perfectly, great rooms and had a great living area to relax in. Also has a deck which was lovely to sit out on. Package included dinner in the Duck Terrace, which was superb, and breakfast the next morning which was really top quality (and not a buffet). Staff throughout were cheerful, courteous and eager to be helpful. Can't wait to go back.

Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Marlfield House for the most incredible overnight getaway!! We received such a warm welcome on arrival from the wonderful staff and a highly efficient and speedy check-in. Our beautiful bedroom overlooked the magnficently maintained gardens - what an increcible setting!! We dined in the Duck Restaurant, (which was recommended by a friend of ours in Dublin) and we were not disappointed! Five star dining ***** and our waiter informed us that many of the herbs and vegtables are grown on the property, this is rare to find in any hotel, so what a treat!! I would recommend the Lava seared steak, cooked to perfection!! Lovely to see the owners chatting to diners and recommending dishes and wines. A personal thanks to Laura, who was incredibly charming and curteous and suggested a great beach walk for us for the following morning. Well done Marlfield, we will be back in the Autumn!!

Wonderful hotel and location. Food was incredible in the Conservatory Restaurant- can't recommend it enough! Great bedroom ( 4 poster!) Lovely staff and beautiful gardens. We had a wonderful time celebrating our wedding anniversary .. we will be back !

Restaurants from Breakfast, to Fine Dining. The choice Menus & Finest wine selections. The Duck Restaurant outside the House for more casual dining but none the less fabalous. The various drawing rooms. The wonderful reception area so classy with unique furnishings, a blazing fire & scents of Voya products. Our stay was more than anyone could imagine. Attention to detail, warmth & friendliness from all the team. Local Produce, some fare of food from Marlfield Gardens where the gardeners are busy. The colourful Roses in abundance along with the unique coloured Hydrangeas were magistic blowing in the soft breeze. Lovely walks amongst the gardens. 10 minutes & 20 minutes. The outside Pond Suites looked amazing very upmarket. Beautifully designed. It was lovely to meet the delightful proprietors Laura & Margaret who completely spoiled us for my Birthday ocassion. Hence now I return with my friends for more celebrations in a few weeks. Peace, Calm, with warmth & welcome await you here. Welcomed By Dawn with delicious dressed scones & Procecco. This is a truly special location. The rooms are beautiful and tastefully decorated. There is a lovely calm air to the place and the staff are exceptional. Breakfast and dinner in the The Duck Terrace was first class. We will definitely be back.

We joined our dear friends for a two night visit to beautiful Marlfield House Hotel at the weekend. We cannot say enough about our wonderful experience from arrival to our departure. On arrival we were greeted warmly by Dawn at reception and our luggage was taken from us as we were staying on the first floor in a delightful bright room with the most comfy bed ever.. Had 2 nights great sleep. We proceeded to the beautiful Bar and had delicious warm scones and tea. Most welcome after a long drive. We enjoyed a lovely few aperitif drinks before going to The Duck Restaurant. Staff very welcoming and service excellent and food delicious full of flavour. The next morning arrived to the conservatory for breakfast, tables beautifully set and lovely hydrangeas from the garden on every table. Orange juice , cereal with lovely summer fruits granola and yogurt and honey followed by full Irish breakfast and omelettes, with brown bread and warm scones all at our leisure. Delightful. Walked the gardens and grounds that had lovely surprises of colour and flowers round every corner including Mr Robot slowly moving around keeping the grass perfect! Funny ! Then came dinner in the Conservatory at eight pm. What a treat of delicious food from start to finish ( dessert my passion for chocolate) so Margaret recommend a heavenly warm chocolate pudding and vanilla ice cream. We had such a lovely time , we will be back soon. Thanks Margaret, Laura and all the staff.

We had a very restful weekend at Marlfield. It is a very comfortable hotel set in gardens that have had much trouble and expense lavished on them. The staff, especially Savio and Dawn are delightful, friendly and professional. We ate memorably. My lamb on the first night was absolutely delicious.

I am blown away by the outstanding and personal treatment we received at Marlfield House for my son and daughter in law's wedding which took place on the 25th of July. We stayed for 2 nights 24th - 26th July. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the staff, but most of all Dawn, did everything in their power to make our stay memorable, and memorable it was. From our accommodation which was in the main house to our amazing food in the Duck Restaurant the night before, breakfast both mornings and the meal served at the wedding, there was nothing we could find fault with. It was the most amazing time I have ever spent and would suggest that this is put on everybody's bucket list...... The grounds of the hotel were stunning, the surroundings inside the hotel everything was just so magical. From the moment the venue was booked I touched base with Dawn regarding some items I wanted to find out about without having to hassle the bride and groom to be, she was more than helpful. On the eve and the day before the wedding, she was on hands at all time without being any way intrusive, she just sensed when she was required to guide or serve........... To this day I will be forever grateful for her unending kindness and help through the entire process. We were so very lucky to have lovely weather but Dawn assured us that if there was any sign of change, they had it all covered indoors for us. The dancing and merriment went on through the night without any hiccup..... Thank you to the owners, Margaret and Laura Bowe and our designated go to girl Dawn for the most amazing time.......... We will be back...............
