This is a lovely little bed and breakfast to stay in , and the location was great - right in the middle of Portland which we wanted and easy to reach the coastal path or also Weymouth where we wanted the beach. Mark and Jo were very hospitable with lots of info which they gave us about the island, good tips for places to eat, and where to walk , and they had a good sense of humour! I think they went the extra mile especially with the food and even though my daughter was a fussy vegan, they provided everything she wanted and more! Breakfast was very varied and delicious for each of us who wanted different things. My daughter said the porridge cooked by Jo ( Scottish style! ) was perfect . The living room was very pretty with some perfect Latin American music playing for me when we chilled on the terrace. The terrace is great with lovely sea view and pretty plants , and very comfy sofa . Showers were really good in the mornings , very powerful . Everywhere spotlessly clean. Price was very reasonable for this time of year and it was so nice that we were the only guests there at that point in time ! We only stayed 1 night , but it was good that the hosts were prepared to let us do that and not have a minimum number of nights Mark and Jo were very friendly but also allowed us our privacy and own time . Disliked · Very little not to like . My husband felt the rooms were a little old-fashioned for his modern tastes, but I liked all the old things, and grandfather clock and antiques , so tastes differ! Parking was quite limited right next to b and b but there is a free car park nearby and another one which was cheap.
