Excellent stay. Our hosts Mark & Sue certainly know how to run a B&B. Rooms are well appointed, spotlessly clean withgood en-suite bathrooms. Good choice of breakfast with great views from their terrace. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

My partner and I stayed for 3 nights whilst visiting Portland for a family wedding. Chose Seventyseven because of the beautiful balcony with sea views which did not disappoint. Could have spent hours chilling out there if we'd had time. Mark and Jo made us feel very welcome and breakfast was lovely. Our room was cosy with an ensuite and a peaceful feel. A unique 4 storey building on Portland which is definitely worth a visit !

Absolutely wonderful place to stay, it’s friendly, clean and very comfortable. I would recommend it to anybody. We only had the pleasure of staying one night and wish it was more. Lovely host. Lovely room and fabulous breakfast.

We had a friendly welcome from Mark, and shown to our room which was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and woke up to a wonderful breakfast which we order the afternoon before, The rolling film of the renovation of the B&B made for interesting watching and we were amazed at how much had been achieved. The views across the balcony area are spectacular! Mark and Jo are a very friendly couple, who couldn’t do enough for us. They even took us to pick up our car from the wedding venue because there were no taxi’s available for a couple of hours! Thank you!

Mark and Jo have obviously put an enormous amount of effort into making SeventySeven a brilliant B&B. We received a warm welcome, followed by excellent coffee and biscuits on their roof terrace with great sea views. Our room was clean, well decorated and comfortable and most importantly a hot powerful shower. Breakfast was plentiful and considering it was a full English surprisingly not at all greasy. Clearly nothing is left to chance in this well run, professional B&B.

We stayed at seventyseven last week, Jo and Mark were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was comfortable and very clean. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the sunshine looking at the sea. We had such a great time we will definitely be returning.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Seventyseven! Our room was absolutely spotless and contained every amenity necessary. Mark and Jo went above and beyond for us and helped us to navigate the area. My boyfriend eats a gluten free diet and Mark and Jo provided brilliantly for this. There is a convenience store a few doors away, a fish and chip shop and a few pubs up the road with chesil beach a short drive away. A short drive in the other direction there is a beautiful Victorian grave yard and a quarry with sculptures. There is also a free car park a few minutes walk away. I would recommend to everyone!

Absolutely great stay at Seventy-seven. Mark and Jo are very welcoming and make you feel right at home. They were very helpful with details on the area too and have a very good breakfast. They have a cat on site but its absolutely beautiful and very friendly. The only downside is extremely limited parking and we struggled on the last night to find somewhere to leave the car but all in all lovely stay. Would recommend eating at rockfish in Weymouth.

This is a lovely little bed and breakfast to stay in , and the location was great - right in the middle of Portland which we wanted and easy to reach the coastal path or also Weymouth where we wanted the beach. Mark and Jo were very hospitable with lots of info which they gave us about the island, good tips for places to eat, and where to walk , and they had a good sense of humour! I think they went the extra mile especially with the food and even though my daughter was a fussy vegan, they provided everything she wanted and more! Breakfast was very varied and delicious for each of us who wanted different things. My daughter said the porridge cooked by Jo ( Scottish style! ) was perfect . The living room was very pretty with some perfect Latin American music playing for me when we chilled on the terrace. The terrace is great with lovely sea view and pretty plants , and very comfy sofa . Showers were really good in the mornings , very powerful . Everywhere spotlessly clean. Price was very reasonable for this time of year and it was so nice that we were the only guests there at that point in time ! We only stayed 1 night , but it was good that the hosts were prepared to let us do that and not have a minimum number of nights Mark and Jo were very friendly but also allowed us our privacy and own time . Disliked · Very little not to like . My husband felt the rooms were a little old-fashioned for his modern tastes, but I liked all the old things, and grandfather clock and antiques , so tastes differ! Parking was quite limited right next to b and b but there is a free car park nearby and another one which was cheap.
