Gloucester House

Our stay was exceptional. Karen, Jonathan and Lucy made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and attention to detail was amazing . Our room overlooking the sea was delightful and the breakfast was delicious and beautifully cooked.

It was a lovely weekend trip to Gloucester House with family. The property is right opposite the beach of Weymouth and a short drive away from the stunning beauties of Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Lulworth Castle, and Chesil Beach. The property is very well-maintained, neat and clean and provides a very nice bed. Awesome breakfast and the warm hospitality of Jonathan, the host make a massive difference to the overall experience.

Wonderful experience. Deserves all of the accolades. Jonathan and Karen are delightful. Rooms thoughtfully appointed and stunning location. Delicious breakfast. We can’t wait to return…and we live in Dorset! Weymouth is a bit hit and miss, but if you are prepared and book ahead there are some fabulous restaurants.

Now all our 7 children have finally grown up and left home and along with retirement my husband and I finally feel able to take occasional mini breaks around the country. Having read the rave reviews of The Catch restaurant we thought this was the perfect time to combine a trip to Weymouth and a meal out for my birthday. We had an exceptional experience at Gloucester House. Johnathan and Karen were very helpful with advice about the area - the bedroom was extremely clean and comfortable and every part of the breakfast really delicious - it set us on our way for the return trip back to Sussex.

Top notch B&B. Room was very comfortable and super clean. Lovely welcome from hosts nothing was too much trouble. Top breakfast with all the trimmings. There is a lot of crappy places in Weymouth and Gloucester House is a little piece of heaven!! Highly recommended.

Me and my partner stayed at Gloucester house when visiting Weymouth for our friends engagement party and we cannot recommend it enough! We had a stunning double room overlooking Weymouth beach which was the most gorgeous view to wake up to. A huge thank you Jonathan and Karen for the incredibly warm welcome - you are the most fantastic hosts. We felt completely at home and it was an absolute pleasure to get to know you both during our stay. The rooms are cosy, clean and peaceful. And beds extremely comfortable! We had a great night sleep. Breakfast was also incredible. There are so many different breakfast options to cater for everyone- both hot food and an amazing continental selection. Thank you for being so welcoming, when we are next in the area we will most definitely be staying with you again!
