We loved staying here. Our hosts were so friendly and they have made the motel into a lovely location, with the rooms bright and airy, plenty of space and everything you need. The garden was a nice spot to sit out and enjoy a drink. Just wished we could have stayed longer but we were passing through.

5 out of 5. New owners and have done an amazing job. Warm welcome and very friendly. Room was clean and warm and comfortable. Outside area was inviting and well set up. Would happily recommend and stay there again. Great location. Well Done team.

Would have to the all time best hosts we have ever had. Nothing was too much trouble. Jenny and Glenn were amazing and went the extra mile fresh baking every day when we got back from our bowls competition. Rooms very clean and tidy and a variety of configuration. We have fully booked the motel for the 3td year running See you next year Jenny and Glenn and thank you for everything sure a memorable stay.

Anyone considering using this establishment should consider this before booking. Our flights were canx by Air NZ due to cyclone Gabrielle throwing our plans into chaos. We wrote a polite message to the motel requesting a waiver of the deposit we had paid as this was totally beyond our control. This is the response we received from the 'customer caring' team there _ ...."you wont get a refund from us... you prob have pre paid with ***********... we cant even see a booking for you on our system" Absolutely appalling.

We had a three night stay in this motel and it certainly ticked all the boxes. The location was ideal with a short walk into town to the many cafes / restaurants / bars. Also, there were plenty of parking spaces on site. The room was spacious with a double and 2 single beds. There was a kitchenette with the necessary appliances etc. The bathroom was large with an excellent shower. There was also aircon which we only used on 2 occasions. We made use of the spa / hot tub every evening. The owners/ managers were very laid back and efficient making our stay a very pleasant one.

Our family got together in Whangamata for a special service and we all stayed at South Pacific. Jenny and Glenn were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They could not have done more for us. The rooms and complex are great, very clean and the rooms are lovely with very comfortable beds. We would highly recommend staying here.

Had a great stay during school holidays. Clean facilities and was able to have children in a separate bedroom. Enjoyed use of the spa pool and my son loved seeing all the Lego displayed in reception. RSA across the road but we ended up going into town for dinner which is only 2 mins down the road.
