TownePlace Suites Whitefish Kalispell

This is a nice modern hotel in a convenient location. It is reasonably clean and the rooms are spacious. But there is room for improvement and particularly, in our opinion, it was let down by lack of staff. The free breakfast has the potential to be good but always something had run out, be it coffee, scrambled egg, milk or sausage rounds. They were replenished, but not always in a timely manner. Also the oatmeal was not consistent from day to day, sometimes really thick and other times really thin. The breakfast staff we interacted with were all very pleasant and helpful, but it is obvious that they are overworked and under-resourced. Similarly the pool and hot tub are very nice, but there was always a shortage of pool towels at the pool door. Reception staff always had to go and get more - again indicative of understaffing. The cleaning staff did not clean rooms every day but were attentive to emptying of garbage and resupply of clean towels as required. All of the cleaning staff we interacted with were exceptionally helpful and pleasant.

When you go to a resort area, you can expect overpriced accommodations and this was no exception. Fine, we were prepared. But honestly, this was one of the worst experiences we've had in a long time. The front desk woman was as unwelcoming as it's possible to be without being outright rude. Over the course of our week long stay, it became a bit of a game for us to see if she even had a pulse. So many things wrong here — the lack of service, the unfriendliness, the fact that coffee was never available, the way we had to beg for towels....but the worst was the bed. This mattress should have gone to the dumpster years ago. You can see the chasm even when it is made. Completely sunken at the head and center, so we had to cling to the sides of the bed. Horrible. Shame on you.

Comfortable amenities for an extended stay, e.g. king bed, pull-out couch, desk, kitchen, laundry facilities.

My recent stay at TownePlace Suites Whitefish was excellent. The staff was very professional and flexible, they made me feel right at home. Every inch of the property was clean and up to date. From the moment Rona picked me up at the train station, she made me feel like my stay was the most important thing. I will stay here any time I come to Whitefish.

Stayed for 2 weeks. Nice spacious room. Excellent room facilities completely self sufficient kitchen and appliances. Large bathroom, excellent shower. Towels and toiletries provided. Complimentary breakfast daily, good choice of options. Laundry facilities. Swimming pool and hot tub open daily. Shuttle services. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel provided a great base to explore the area. Good parking on site. Hotel was very clean. Recommend and would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is nice I’ve stayed here before. It’s what you’d expect from a Marriott. I tell you what made this trip a 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ experience was the front desk Rhona is awesome. She’s like your favorite family member you only get to see once in a while and you always look forward to seeing. She took our trip to the next level. She’s great Please give her a raise and promote her. —- There’s also bear spray you can check out for your day trips, as well as beach cruiser bikes you can check out.
