We arrived on 1/24 On 1/25 we went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast. Only about 4 families were seated for breakfast. Waitress came by and we asked for coffee and a latte and placed our order. After 20 min I went searching for the waitress, because we never received our coffee and latte. She wasn’t around. I went to the hostess stand to let hostess know we did not receive our coffee or our latte. The hostess filled our coffee but did not bring cream. I went and got it myself. After 30 min had to go to the hostess stand to remind about my latte. At 45 min, I went back to the hostess stand to cancel our breakfast because we were going to be late for our outing and was then informed it would be up in a minute. Our waitress delivered it tepid and overcooked with a weak apology about being the only one here. She offered nothing for our trouble. We were LATE for our outing. When we came back from our outing, we found that housekeeping had not touched our room. This would be a CONSTANT issue during our stay. The housekeeper said “oh, I don’t have anyone listed in 327”. We had to delay our dinner plan to wait for housekeeping to ensure they would actually take care of our room and our requests. After dinner we went to the the hot tub and sauna. Most of the hot tub jets DID NOT WORK. One Sauna was out of order and the other had a max temp of 90 degrees. (Later the working sauna would be out of order. They took the heating element from the previously out of order sauna to fix it). Throughout the duration of the stay only one sauna was working. There was ICE around the hot tub, no signs, no salt or traction mats. My 60 year old husband SLIPPED and nearly fell.He caught himself on the railing. When we came back from the hot tub, there was a loud, consistent noise coming from the locked closet door by the kitchen. I sent an email to the front desk with all of the above concerns because no one answered the phone to the front desk. The front desk associate did reply via email that they have passed along our concerns to management. They asked when would be a good time to check the room for the noise. I let them know we would be gone all day the next day (on 1/26) and anytime would be fine. At 7p on 1/26 as we were returning back to the hotel, I realized the lodge staff did not provide an update on the issues regarding hot tub, sauna or the noise in our room. I emailed asking if they could provide updates. At 715p they said “we are checking on this now”. NOW?!? I was told this would be taken care of when we were gone. I stopped by the front desk to understand what was happening. Scott the front desk associate offered to move our room and offered an”upgrade” lake view room and apologized for our trouble. When we went to the new room, the toilet was running and making loud noises. I returned to the desk to let Scott know that we didn’t want a room with toilet issues. He then offered to move us to a 2 bedroom condo but when I returned back to the desk,

This was an amazing visit. Had a great time during the winter stay. I do want to call out Scott and Cole from the front desk who went above and beyond for us and accommodated us beyond expectation. Also the concierge desk was very helpful planning out our visit prior to arrival. Thanks again !

This was our first visit here. The Lodge is beautiful. The smell of tamarack burning in the fire places and outdoor fire pit was awesome. The dinner in the bar was delicious. Great service. Kodiak was super helpful one morning as it was chilly out and drizzly and was willing to start the fire pits on bar deck for ice to enjoy our coffees at. Even went and got towels to dry off the ice. He was super friendly and helpful. However, our check in is what made it not a great experience. Upon checking in, we went up to our room on the second floor, only to open it to see other people were already living there. Thankfully no one was "home" and not interrupt anyone, but it made us VERY uncomfortable to know we had entered someone else's room. And could that happen to us?? And when I went down to front desk to address this, Cole the front desk manager was barely apologetic to the situation happening. All he said was oh, I am sorry about that. You should be the next floor up. Your card was entered wrong. No real sincerity in the apology, no offering anything to compensate the uncomfortable situation and lack of trust and care that now my stay is in question of safety. When I checked out two days later, the lady that checked us out asked how our stay was and I explained what happened and she was MUCH more apologetic and offered us a complimentary breakfast voucher if we were willing to extend our stay another night. Nice offer but not on the day we were leaving. Left a bad taste in our mouth for our first time staying here.

My husband and I have been repeat guests of this lodge for over 20 years. The location is superb. Summer is actually our favorite time when the lake is active with boating and seaplanes. This time, because we live in Wyoming for part of the year, we opted for a three day Fall trip to enjoy Oktoberfest in charming, downtown, Whitefish. The complementary airport shuttle was appreciated as we fly ourselves into Glacier GPI. Brady, our driver, from the lodge, showed up on schedule. What a great addition to the lodge! Big smile, great attitude, he is the absolute best kind of employee to welcome us to Whitefish. He asked if we wanted to take the scenic tour back to the Lodge or go through downtown. We opted for the scenic tour as we had planned to go downtown after check-in. Brady was an absolute joy. I can see him, one day, becoming general manager! I told him as much! Actually, all of the employees we encountered were top-notch. I do not remember the young lady of Jamaican descent at the front desk, but she was very good as well. As we had come in early, they did not have a room right away, but they took our bags and stored them and made arrangements for us to go downtown while we waited for our room to be ready. Brady took us downtown and recommended a place for a late breakfast. The front desk texted us when our room was ready about 2 PM. The shuttles run every hour to go downtown and pick up to go back to the Lodge, 10 minutes after every hour. Pick up is very convenient at the lodge’s sister hotel, the FireBrand, downtown. Every afternoon the lodge hosts a free cocktail in the lobby starting around 5 PM. As guests, we usually walk around the grounds before dinner at the boathouse. The boathouse, breakfasts, dinners and bar menu were all excellent. Staff equally so! I looked back at my last review, and I have to close with the some of the same comments for improvements. We stayed in the Viking Lodge, which is connected to the lodge by a bridge over the main roadway. What’s nice about this section of the hotel is the indoor pool, hot tub, and gym. It’s an easy walk to the main lodge. That said, the walkway and main hallways of the Viking lodge need a refresh. New paint and carpeting are pretty much essential and what I recommended the last time. Decor is dated and looks worn out. In our room, we appreciated the Instant hot water and good water pressure in the shower and bathtub. I would highly recommend changing out the lighting in the bathroom to the newer make up mirror type lighting. It’s very dark in the bathrooms. Also, consider changing out mattresses and comforters, as needed. An easy refresh. The gym was extremely crowded, very early. Since there are only about three treadmill’s, I would recommend a sign that asks guests to limit their time to no more than 20 minutes. In addition, the inside hot tub and pool area was constantly inundated with children, running all over the place and jumping into the pool and hot tub. I would

Scenic classic Montana lodge experience with a beautiful lakeside setting is its biggest strength. The resort features a full service spa, multiple pools (including indoor and lakefront options), and a well equipped fitness center, giving it a well rounded wellness offering, while on site dining like the Boat Club Restaurant has a great atmosphere and great quality. The rooms and certain common areas feel dated and not always aligned with the premium pricing. Service is often friendly but can be inconsistent, and maintenance or housekeeping issues occasionally came up. Overall, it’s a picturesque, amenity rich resort ideal for a relaxed, outdoors focused stay, though it falls slightly short of delivering a fully modern luxury experience. Would return again and again.

This hotel captures a mountain lodge feel - cozy and warm - with a fireplace in the lobby and in the rooms. There are a couple good restaurants on site that face the lake and there is a very nice spa downstairs. The rooms are a good size and comfortable. The outdoor area by the lake is great with a pool, hot tub, and tiki bar. I appreciated the shuttle from and to the airport and downtown. The staff were helpful and friendly. I’d definitely stay here again.

We had such a wonderful experience at the Lodge. Staff was so kind and we loved all the amenities. The hot tubs and sauna were a must in the cold temps and did not disappoint. Also utilized the Spa and had a wonderful massage . We will definitely be returning! Close to the ski resort too , which is why we’re in town. They have shuttles but didn’t use because we had a car. Beautiful place
