Whitefish Riverfront Hotel

The location of the hotel is very good. It is quiet and surrounded by the nature. But we can drive to the great fall and some attractions are easy because it is easy to get on the freeway.

Excellent service and friendly, helpful staff. My only concern is that apparently only the handicap rooms have grab bars in the showers. Anyone can slip in the shower and grab bars would be helpful. Also the tub sides are quite high. Convenient to shipping, restaurants and the airport.

Couldn’t have had a worst experience. Our room was on the first floor (Rm 124). The widow faced a retaining wall, the kitchen has nothing (utensils, dishes,etc), and being right next to the housekeeping room meant noise starting at 6 am.

While the hotel was all in all great a great experience. I'd have to rate a 2 outa 5 for the experience with the staff and cleanliness of the beds we stayed in. The my fiancée and I stayed in had a stain on the top sheet. I told the front desk and they informed me it would be cleaned. When I returned later that night the bed was only remade with the same sheets as the same stain was still there. I informed the front desk again that the sheet was never changed and the dropped off new bedsheets for me to change the bed I was sleeping in. With that I kinda gave up and just took the sheets off that were dirty. So that we could have a somewhat clean bed. The pool is nice, the games the have are also fun. Just expect a dirty bed when staying.

Hot tub was under renovation so they heated the inside pool to 104 which was fine but no where to sit in pool and enjoy the warm water-,no ledge. No towels in pool area. Floor was filthy. Only decaf coffee in room. Main floor king room with patio door to nothing but gravel and concrete wall. A pad with a couple chairs would have been nice. No hairdryer in washroom. Free popcorn but empty by 7pm.

After a long day on the road, check-in was quick and easy, and Alison at the front desk made the experience even better. She kindly upgraded our room and gave great restaurant recommendations. She truly deserves a raise! The property is beautiful overall—I’d definitely stay again. Just a small recommendation: it might be better to have only the bottom-floor rooms designated as pet-friendly.

Very comfortable, clean hotel within walking distance of downtown, along a river trail. For off-seaon, the price was excellent. Has a pool and hot tub which unfortunately were being renovated during our visit...but they did a shuttle for us to their sister hotel with a pool. Good, free coffee. Breakfast was standard fare like a Best Western...but it is included which is nice. Definitely recommend

We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers that traveled for a ski vacation over Spring Break. The location is nice, just about a couple of minutes drive from downtown and about a 20 minute drive to the ski resort. There is also a Safeway within walking distance. The lobby, breakfast area, and other common areas were clean and appear to be recently renovated. There is a ski room with boot driers. We loved having these, but they could use more because they were full most days. There’s plenty of room to store skis, boards, and bags. They serve complimentary breakfast in the mornings, includes hot and cold items. They also serve fresh baked cookies in the afternoons and have a little hot chocolate bar with lots of toppings that the kids loved in the evenings. They also have s’mores kits for the fire pits. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, although they’re both a little dated. The hot tub was a little small for the size of the hotel, and was often full. There is also a game room that has a pool table and a few other games. The staff that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, but seemed dated especially compared to the lobby area. We had two doubles and a pullout couch. There is a little coffee pot, microwave, and a mini fridge with an actual freezer. It also had a nice balcony overlooking the river. The beds were comfortable, but I would not recommend this room if you need to use the pullout as a bed. The mattress on the pullout is very old and thin and you can feel the bars underneath. Also you can hear it squeak every time the person that’s on it moves. The walls were very thin. We could hear the people in the rooms next to us and the person walking around above us. This was not an issue for us because all the people around us were very quiet at night. This is the only reason that I gave the hotel a 4 star rating instead of a five. We would stay here again.
