Close to beach; everything you need in an efficiency. Our unit was next to stairs to 2nd floor and somewhat noisy

The room was everything we needed, easy walking distance to town and waterfront. The lost spring is through a gate at the back of the hotel, super handy after a few cocktails in the pool. Really enjoyed our stay

It is close to the beach and town centre. Th3 only thing missing in the rooms were heat pumps for the AC as it was warm in the rooms. A fabulos place to stay.

We spent good money for a room that had furniture that was totally run down.

Upon arrival there was no greeting, no small talk and no information given on the resort other than how to get our room. Felt like we were an inconvenience to even be there. Not sure if this was the manager or the owner, but some customer service training would be suggested or a different career path where they are not customer facing. Knowing that the Coromandel has been hit hard with bad weather and road closures limiting visitor numbers in recent times, it's actually astounding that this is the level of welcome visitors are getting here. No suggestions of activities or places to check out-no interaction what so ever. I wouldn't normally leave a negative review but it's been a while since our visit and it still bothers me that someone could be so miserable when welcoming guests to their premises. No one at desk at check out time-so obviously not interested in if we enjoyed our stay, want to come back or had any feedback. Rooms had everything we needed and very clean. Was lovely to see the cheerful cleaning staff the next morning, they are clearly doing a great job. Very close to local amenities and kids loved having a pool and playground right next to us. Shame about who you have representing your business and who is the lasting impression of your accommodation. We will look for somewhere else to stay next visit.

Simply put: this is a very good place to stay - clean, spacious, well equipped kitchenette, good location (easy walking distance to beach and harbour front with shops and restaurants), reasonably priced; would book again if in the area. The only thing some could consider a draw-back is the lack of AC especially in the Summer months, but a large fan was available, and it usually cools down quickly once the sun sets (with windows on both sides of the unit cross-ventilation is possible).

Upon arrival, received a cold response at the check-in reception. No smiles, no pleasant greeting….nothing! More conversation was had with work colleagues, and I was taking up space! Entering the room, we found it rather warm inside compared to the cool breeze outside. The bedroom window is in full view of the stairs, so we had to keep the curtain closed for privacy reasons. Then we found out that there is no air conditioning or cooling system other than a big noisy fan sitting on top of the television unit and a pedestal fan located in the wardrobe. The bedroom lacked sufficient power points to operate the fan, and the lead was not long enough to have it positioned anywhere else. Had an unpleasant stay, and the check-out was just as bad as the arrival. We would not recommend this place. Customer service was terrible. There are plenty of better establishments that are in town that would welcome you with a smile.
