Wonderful location close to town and across the street from the beach. There is parking for one car per unit. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. They do have a short check in window but they were able to leave us our key for a check in. The kitchenette consisted of a microwave and refrigerator, but no stove top. The room did get a bit bright in the morning as there were no blackout curtains over the window above the bed. Limited bathroom amenities, just body wash, shampoo and moisturizer in the shower, and nothing by the sink. The upstairs room was quiet. The room was extremely clean.

It’s past peak tourist time and the annual game fishing comp had just concluded, so we figured it wouldn’t be too difficult to find a place to stay. After a cruise around town we decided on Blue Marlin and rang Viv, who had one room left. It’s in a magical location, right across the road from Mercury Bay and close enough to the bars and restaurants, without being noisy. It was great to have space to spread out, sort our washing and cook our own meals. Getting a bit tired of eating out, so a well-equipped kitchen was great. The bed was large and comfortable, and the room very quiet. Viv was delightful, and very happy to help out with advice on things to do and go around town.

Beautiful view! Right across the street from the beach. You could sit on the front porch to listen and watch the waves coming in!
Nice short walk to restaurants and shops! The proximity to the main part of town was perfect within walking distance, easily!
Though the bathroom windows were frosted, it would’ve been nice to have a curtain or shades/blinds to cover the bath window. The rest of the windows, you could adequately able to cover with the blinds/shades provided.

Great apartment opposite the beach. Walking distance to restaurants. Very comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. Lovely friendly owner. Easy parking out front of door. Highly recommended.
