Very nice the hotel owner. When you come to the hotel he would introduce the facilities of the hotel for you.

A really friendly welcome from check in through to departure. It was really nice to have the personal, more thoughtful touches of a smaller hotel (vs the big chains!). The room was tastefully decorated and provided a quiet, comfortable space to relax (when travelling for work). In terms of the location, the owner suggested some great areas to explore and it was easy to find one of the many ‘individual’ restaurants. Great walks along the promenade and an excellent choice of breakfast options made this a really enjoyable stay. Would have no hesitation recommending and revisiting again in the future. Thank you

What can I say that hasn't already been said? We had an incredible room (definitely worth the trip to the top of the stairs), the reception from our host was friendly and welcoming, and the location can't be beat. If you go, get the breakfast--delicious! I can't imagine a better stay.

The warmest of welcomes from Lee and Paul, after a long old drive from Lancashire for the Bay Tales event. The whole property has been decorated to such a high standard, with some unique touches and works of art that stay *just* the right side of quirky 😁. The room was spacious , spotlessly clean and the beds? So, so comfortable. I rarely sleep well away from home but it's possible I actually had a better night's sleep here. We didn't have the cooked breakfast, but only because of my annoying allergies. My mouth was watering when I say the plates of those that did. Highly recommend staying here should you visit this lovely part of the country.

Overnight stay but 5 mins to Metro station right by the coast had a nice morning walk along the coastal path. Clean friendly and just what i wanted again. Good breakfast in the morning set me up for the day. Until the next time.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Metropolitan. We were warmly welcomed, the accommodation was fantastic and the breakfast was superb. The guest house is in a great location, convenient for the bars and restaurants, and close to the sea.
