Not the cleanest

WORST IHG EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE: We checked in around 11pm it's now 1245am and I'm just in absolute SHOCK at this IHG experience. I'm so flabbergasted at the disgust and filth of this room that I feel scammed. We've been IHG members for over a decade and this has been the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I avoid motels so as not to deal with this crap, I would've rather we stayed at a seedy motel 6. I don't even want to use the toilet nor shower here, I will rather go to a gas station in the morning. I literally spent $160 just to grab some rest during our road trip because I don't do motels but this has definitely humbled me. I can't even address all the issues... but here's a few. They haven't swept or more behind the door in at least 6 months. The dusty cushions on the half sized "pullout" is about the size of a twin, I've never seen one this small in my 46 years of life. There was a DISGUSTING dirty sock (in plain sight) under chaise lounge. Under the cushion there was garbage and a used flosser. I'm so frustrated I can't even finish this. Our first night, already dressed for bed, the AC just really wasnt doing much for the room, and my husband went over to unit to see if he could turn the fan to stay on. The carpet area around the unit was damp. I tried to call the front desk to report the problem, the phone didn't even get a dial tone. I tried calling the desk number listed on the phone from my cell -mailbox full. Had to go down to the desk in my pjs. They wanted to move us from a double bed room to a king. A no- we have 4 unrelated adults in this room, so we had to stick it out. They were supposed to come look at the AC on Saturday and give us a call. Never got a call, but the AC seemed to be holding it's own when we got back to room sat afternoon. Two of our party had taken off, and it was late when we got back from dunner , and really it was ok for the night, although the carpet was still damp. When we came back after a ride out to the lake Sunday morning, the musty smell knocked you down at the door. Nope not likely to stay at this place again.

Positives: Bed was super comfortable, large suite that met all our needs, friendly staff, nice breakfast, good AC, clean room. Negatives:

When I got to the hotel at almost midnight they said they had no rooms available even though I had a reservation. Then was told to contact ********* to get a refund.

The hotel was dingy overall. Also if the heater was run the smoke detector would randomly go into alam for 2 seconds.

Stayed there two nights and got a fungal skin infection. Will never stay again!

We have had great experiences with Staybridges , unfortunately this one was not one of them. There is no way to sugar coat this. When we walked in to the lobby it seem a bit dated and uninviting. However the receptionist was very nice and got us checked in quickly. That was about the only highlight though. When we walked into our room, we noticed what we first thought were fruit flies on the kitchen countertop, but then quickly realized they were cockroaches. We immediately turned around and went back down to the lobby. We asked for a new room, which we were give. But we wanted to make sure so the wife and I went to inspect it before taking all out stuff up. At first glance we notice it was cleaner and at first there was no signed of the roaches. But when we went to the bathroom we saw one on the floor. Again turned around and walked and. Ultimately we decided to go elsewhere. We didn’t want to risk taking bugs back home.

Hotel was old. Dining and Lobby had no air conditioning. Two rooms in our party had roaches. We reported it.
