AWAY FROM THE HOUSE OF HORRORS. We stayed here bank holiday weekend. The place is a dump do not stay here. Room was dirty It had stains on the walls and the skirting boards were thick with dirt. They had two extension leads running from the one socket and one of the Sockets on the lead had blown out but it was still been used. I had to boil the kettle on a.stool as there was no where else to boil it, allocated one roll of toilet paper and had to ask for hand towels as we were given two bath towels, the double bed was two mattress pushed together with no mattress protector just one sheet and a light duvet. The bathroom was grubby and had a grubby toilet seat and tiny shower that was also dirty and the shower wasn't working properly as the water was boiling hot. The place is run by a couple and while he was pleasent and when you asked about anything he responded with I need to ask my employer or my boss. The woman was rude. We were supposed to have a room with a sea view but the only view we go was.of the back garden. The whole place smelled of whatever they were cooking and the room smelled like it needed to be deep cleaned from top to bottom. The property wasn't expensive to stay it but even on a budget the property and rooms should be clean at the very least. One star is too generous it should be a minus 10. The pictures of the place, here and on *********** are missleading. This place is not looked after, here is a list of all the things I had to experience while staying there for two nights. 1 Once I got to the place, the person at the front "desk" asked me to pay for my stay. I informed him I had payed already and he proceed to call his boss to double check. Eventhough I had the email from *********** ready for him to check. 2 He did not take the time to show me the common areas / Garden. He made sure I was aware check out was @11 before I even put my bag down. 3 Walls are paper thing I could hear all the conversation in one of the rooms next to mine around 11 @ night. Same time when the couple on the other side decided to have an intimate encounter which I had to listen through the walls. FUN #not. 4 The shower is broken. I could not wash my hair properly because it was in bits. 5 Walls are stained. 6 No access to the lovely garden area is granted. 7 No night lights on the night stands. How is it possible that the rooms have no lamps or night light for reading in a guest house / motel / B&B or whatever this s@~@t whole is. 8 The smell of food goes in the rooms at night. Gross. 9 No information is shared with the guests about the town or the relevant places to visit while in Wicklow. 10 The people in charge of the place were not available during the day. I saw them just when I rang the bell for them to get the door. No conversation, no hospitality. Just a mumbled "Hello" and away they went to get their things done. 11 One towel given. Nothing to put on the floor of the bathroom after the shower and the SAD bad of soap I had in my room was already used. I put it straight in the bin as soon as I got there and tried not to think about it. Not even worth it because is cheap. Not the cheapest room in the world should be this poorly kept. Reputation is important. This one is on me for not checking all the comments on this website before booking with them
