Staying for 1 night was plenty. The rooms have been modernised 3 years ago, however, there has been large omissions such as basic bathroom amenities which are tired and damaged. The shower failed to work at all, and when it did kick in, was happy to cover everyones temperature zone ranging from ice cold to burn your face off hot, and it does this all by itself. And dont think that even though you are on the top of the building that you wont get to hear the party, the walls are paper thin and the party will leave you tired with a disturbed nights sleep on an aging mattress.
Breakfast. Not enough tables made up. No one on hand to clear tables and prep for more. The chef decided to dissappear with absolutely no food left at the self service servery for guests arrivjng, and this was not even 0845 yet.
The reception and bar staff were welcoming and happy to help out and the standards of hygeine were as should be expected. Location is great too. Just be open minded when booking, its a clean room for the night.

Came to a family party close by so this hotel was very convenient - in walking distance. Reading some of the reviews I was a little worried what Hillcrest would be like but honestly I would stay here again. The reception area was clean and tidy as was the bar and restaurant. Check in was efficient and all staff and other guests very friendly. Rooms were clean and tidy with a good selection of towels, toiletries and a Nespresso coffee machine. Beds were comfortable and the hotel and surrounding area quiet to allow for a good night’s sleep. For a couple of nights for a visit to the area I would stay here again

For all you little sad people dissing this hotel for the people that have been put in here by the council, you need to suck a big one... All come from silver spooned tables for a cheap place to stay go spend ye money else where bunch of farts. Yeah the staff and place is run down why you think the council put them here cause the don't give a rats about them.

I did originally like the non carpet floors but found it very noisy in the corridors with people walking and doors banging. I could hear the music from last night but that was not an issue .
A full mirror in the bedroom would have been nice. Unusual I thought not to have one.
Everywhere nice and clean and everything me very friendly of course :)

Stayed at this hotel before over the years, room was lovely, paid for a deluxe, shower in the bathroom was a disgrace, hardly any pressure, you had to hold it, mentioned when checking out and they said were aware already!!! Breakfast was disappointing, cold food, cold plates, had to ask for bread for toast. Think it might be used at present for homeless. Receptionist was lovely and friendly. Foyer area has had a refurbish and very nice.

A very nice hotel with excellent facilities. Staff were very friendly and the food was lovely. The bedroom was ok but in need of redecoration and the restaurant was cold and not comfortable but would stay again

Spent from Tuesday 16th to Thursday 18th in here I'm a disabled person in wheelchair cost me £237.00 plus pence was told room was adapted for disabled which it wasn't the room was freezing apparently there was no heating at all in hotel I really struggled to get out of the bed back into my chair the shower was a static shower so couldn't wash my feet no heated towel the place stank of **** lots of homeless people with kids running round I went to reception to see if could get discount on room was told they would get manager to ring me if course I've heard nothing have phoned twice since then still nothing DONT BOTHER COMPLETE RUBBISH & RIP OFF IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE NO STARS I WOULD 😡😡😡😡😡

Absolute disgrace! Came here for a drink before heading to Pesto, we used to come here all of the time back in the day so thought we’d try the Onyx bar. It’s had loads of money spent on it and if you fancy spending time drinking with crack heads, feral children running around the outside area with smack head mums doing anything they can but parent and pyjama wearing smokers standing outside the entrance lobby then this is the place for you! NEVER AGAIN!

Booked a Twin room,have normally stayed in a Double.
The room was very small and the single beds were very small.!!
Like Caravan single beds.
Did not sleep well at all.
