My stay at this location was excellent to drive to Historic Williamsburg and other locations. My checkin went smooth but to my surprise the rooms are outdated and need of a renovation. I need to set my CPAP machine on the night stand but there are no outlets available. I returned to the front desk and asked if I could borrow an extension cord and was told curtly that "I need to buy my own" as they do not lend out items. They would not have to lend anything if they upgraded their furnishings to the 21th Century. Lamps at each side of the bed simply have an on/off switch, Unlike other Gold Crown Resorts I have exchanged for their lamps are not equipped with extra plugs for additional appliances nor posts for cell phone charging. I took four photographs of my unit: Bedroom, Bathroom, Living Room and Kitchen. The Kitchen was the most welcoming of all rooms as it was fully furnished and up to date with standard appliances. The other rooms need updated furniture. My bed looked like someone had used it, no bedspread and five tiny pillows. This exchange was a disappointment. My unit was on the second floor of a building that must be used to show perspective buyers around. The units were open every day 24/7 as well as the front door unless I closed it properly. I would leave for the day and find it open again in the evening. The touring models were much better looking in the bedroom than mine. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER! YOU DO NOT DESERVE A GOLD CROWN RATING!
