This is a fabulous resort with all the amenities you’d expect from a luxury all inclusive in the Caribbean. Great selection of restaurants on site and plenty of activities to fill your day if you so wished. We opted for chillin at the various pools and beaches on the resort and being looked after by the extremely friendly staff who made the holiday even more fun and rekaxing.

I had a wonderful time at The Verandah! The staff were welcoming, friendly and hospitable! The grounds are beautifully maintained and the resort never felt crowded. The beach is wonderful and our superior waterfront room had excellent views of the bay and ocean. Highly recommend this resort if you’re looking for a great stay in paradise!

We traveled here as a family of 5. We had 3 waterfront rooms, all next to each other in the 140 block. The views were of the darker water bay, but we enjoyed the bird watching from the balcony. The rooms were spacious and everything worked. They provide a coffee pot, tea kettle and coffee mate liquid creamers in the fridge. They provide 2 small bottles of water for the whole time you are there, so make sure to bring a refillable cup. They have ice houses along the paths, it would be great to have water refill stations next to the ice machines. They do have them at the bars, but you have to wait till they open. All the staff that we encountered were super nice and helpful. Our first lunch was at the rasta beach restaurant and Theodore was awesome, we saw him at the breakfast buffett too! Loved him! All the meals we had were very good! We did eat at the buffett 5 of the 7 nights, and really enjoyed it. We did a day at the Pineapple Resort and had lunch at the outhouse, very good ribs and chicken! Lovers beach was our favorite spot, and the main pool was fun too! My husband and I renewed our vows for our 25th Anniversary and Teresiann Payne did an amazing job coordinating the whole thing! I cannot thank her enough! She really needs an assistant though! We really enjoyed our stay here, and would stay again 100%.

This resort is good for people who want to take a break from their everyday routine. The views are incredible, the main beach is beautiful. We stayed in room 243, a perfect location, you walk out to the main pool area as well as the buffet and restaurant, the walk to the main beach is about 1 minute. In my opinion the buffet has better food than restaurant for dinner. The best cocktails are at the beach bar for sure. Customer service is alright, I had some questions so I called the guest services, they didn’t give me an answer and said they will call back but they never did. But the resort it self is beautiful, I would definitely recommend it. If you are looking to do some tours, definitely try the stingrays city, amazing experience and not too fur from the resort. A 10 minute walk from main beach to Devils Bridge is a must as well.

This was a return visit having been here for 8 years. Our last visit was in 2019 when the resort started to become a little tired. So since reopening last November after its full refit what a change. Modern Rooms well fitted & all the restaurant s have had a full make over. Most of the Staff were new but the service & food were very good.

I stayed at The Verandah, Antigua this winter. It was a stellar experience. Scenic, tranquil grounds, great food (especially at Portofino) and a relaxing vibe combine to make The Verandah a destination unto itself. After a 3 hour flight from Miami, and an unusually long wait in customs, we were welcomed with rum punch and chilled towels. On-property shuttles were readily available, and all staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Verandah and had an amazing holiday. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the food is lovely, the resort itself is paradise. The main pool area is beautiful and clean with plenty of sun beds. I have seen from previous reviews that people have commented on not enough towels!! This is probably because people take 2, use them for one day and then take another 2 hence there not always being enough. !! We never had a problem. We had a room with 2 double beds and it was the best nights sleep I've ever had away from home. The pillows were fluffy, beds very comfortable with a good size shower and bathroom. We had a sea view apartment and the views were stunning. Would I recommend the Verandah....100%. We will definitely be returning. Thank you to ALL the staff for a wonderful time..

I recently spent a delightful 7-night business vacation at The Verandah Resort & Spa in Antigua, staying in a Waterfront King Suite. Room Comfort and Cleanliness: The beds and pillows in my suite were fantastic, ensuring a comfortable sleep every night. The room was clean, but it could use some upgrades, as there were minor maintenance issues. One downside was that the fridge was not stocked with water or drinks, which is typically expected in an all-inclusive resort. Housekeeping visited every two days, which was sufficient. The view from the room was amazing, and the patio chairs were a nice touch for enjoying the scenery or morning coffee. Amenities: Our group took full advantage of the pool and beach facilities. The resort features two beaches: the ‘chill beach’ with a lunch and drinks area and plenty of loungers, and another stunning beach "lovers beach" accessible via stairs, which might be challenging for those with mobility issues. Both beaches were beautiful and well-equipped with loungers. The swim rings provided added a fun element, allowing us to relax in the water with drinks. The on-property coffee shop was a pleasant surprise. The refresher drinks and iced coffees were delicious; I recommend asking for the coffee's half-sweet. However, the lack of room service might be a deal breaker for some guests. The resort offers some sort of entertainment each evening such as a singer, band, karaoke, games night, DJ etc. There is also another bar area that shows multiple sports. Dining: Our group dined at all the restaurants, with Sails and Tails being my favorite. This covered, open-air restaurant served an amazing Bisque soup and delicious fish. Nicole’s specialty restaurant was also a highlight, despite the $40 USD sur-charge. The lobster was exquisite, and the pumpkin brûlée was to die for. Breakfast was buffet-only, featuring the sweetest Black Pineapple, an omelet station, and other traditional fare. The café offered delightful muffins, sausage rolls and fruit. Overall, there were no complaints about the food at any of the various restaurants and buffet. Service Quality: The staff throughout the resort were friendly and accommodating, adding to the pleasant atmosphere. The check-in ladies could have taken more time to explain the resort and amenities but everything was in the welcome package located in the welcome gift. Location and Accessibility: The resort is expansive and situated on a hill, which means a lot of walking is required. While there are shuttles available, they require some patience. This setup is not ideal for those with mobility issues. Additionally, the resort has a boat for excursions. So many wonderful things to see on the island and it doesn't take long to get anywhere. Unique Features: The rooms are charming duplex like cabins with tropical and Caribbean names, adding a unique and delightful touch to the accommodation experience. Each cabin offers privacy and even at 95% occupancy it doesn't feel over

We spent 10 days at the lovely Verandah Hotel for our Honeymoon. Upon arrival we were greeted with a cold towel and a rum punch. Check in was quick and easy and we were whisked away to our Villa on the golf buggy by a wonderful member of staff who kindly showed us around and pointed out the various things we could do whilst at the resort. The room was spacious and clean, plenty of towels, good air conditioning and a very comfortable bed. Housekeeping came every other day and replenished what was required. The room had a safe in which you were given the key to and had to return at the end of your stay. The hotel grounds including the pool areas and beaches were well maintained. As mentioned by others, the pool area could benefit by having some more ‘shaded’ areas as this was a sun trap all day! Also the towels are there but we noticed the reason they ran out so quickly was because people were greedy. On multiple occasions we witnessed 2 people taking 4 towels so no wonder they ran out so quick! Lovers beach was gorgeous! We absolutely loved the water hammocks and took full advantage of the water sports such as canoeing, wind surfing and the Hobie Cat. Raster Beach was much bigger but we did not find the ocean as inviting there. The resort offers some sort of entertainment each evening such as a singer, band, games night, DJ etc there is also another bar area that shows multiple sports. Now for the Food and Beverage, we didn’t have one problem the whole time we were there until the last day. We took breakfast as usual in the Seabreeze unfortunately it seemed they were very short staffed, our plates were not cleared, we were not offered a drink, not offered clean cutlery etc. The food however as usual was plentiful, warm and delicious. We then proceeded to have lunch at the Sails and Tails where unfortunately the same low staffing issues continued resulting in us having a slow experience and our burgers (like the table next to ours) were very undercooked in the middle. We tried to report this to a member of staff so they could just cook it a bit longer but no one was interested so we left. As we could not eat our burgers we decided to grab a pizza opposite. There were about 4 people before us but after 30 minutes no pizza was called. Again as we were leaving we didn’t have much time so we asked how long it would be, the lady had a look through the tickets and she had given our pizza to someone else. She offered to make us a new one but by this point after waiting a good 45 minutes we simply didn’t have time. Other than these problems on the last day which were caused by low staff levels all other experiences with food and beverage were great. Lovely food and wonderful cocktails and not forgetting the coffee shop that allowed you to have any type of coffee all day! We were able to use a courtesy room on the last day to shower and freshen up before our evening flight and golf carts were readily available for times when we didn’t want to walk in
