What a lovely island!! After a LOT of research and truly wanting to snorkel off the beach, I landed on Pineapple Beach for our family trip with 20 year old daughter. We had to book 2 rooms but were able to be right beside each other in prem Oceanview rooms. Yes, there were a lot of stairs but we are fit and had no problem. Big bonus to these rooms, full size loungers on the covered balcony so we moved daughters to ours and had area for 3 of us to relax in mornings and early evenings. Bathrooms were huge and well stocked. So we arrived around 4pm and got into rooms. Bellman suggested going to desk to try to get dinners for next 2 nights so we talked with Anika and were able to book Italian for Sunday night (Mother's Day) and Pineapple Grill for Monday. The next morning I waited about 15 minutes to be able to get day pass for Verandah and book dinner there. Following day I waited about 5 minutes to book Wednesday night dinner at Outpost. So for those that complain about getting into restaurants, I had NO problems at all. We ate at buffet Saturday night and it was fine, typically AI buffet. Kenore at Mongoose bar made us great drinks so we enjoyed the evening. Tricia was our server at Pedro's, she was fantastic and fun. Dinner was really good and enjoyed our Mother's Day. Pineapple Grill was really good as well. Baeshetna talked with us about the island and was so friendly. Stacey Ann was our server at breakfast most days and she started our days out delightful. We ate lunch often with either grill or outpost and one day at Verandah. All in all, the resort is beautiful. The beach is amazing, some of the prettiest in the Caribbean islands. And we have been to a lot. There is a lot of walking, which we loved. Coffee shop opens early and Renee was ALWAYS ready to make whatever you wanted with a beautiful smile. We have stayed at multiple AI's and this one was towards the upper end but we aren't overly picky either, I can't say that Sandals is that much better but costs a lot more. We never had issue finding a chair at pool or beach but we don't sit there all day either. Some extras: Instead of doing Devil's Bridge on a tour, we walked to Veranda and asked if we could walk through to Devil's Bridge. There is a construction gate at end that you pass through. It allowed us to see the resort (which prompted us to go back later for lunch and beach) and we were at Devils' Bridge all by ourselves!! We actually did it a few days later so our daughter could see it too. We booked private airport transfer with Blacki Warner and Charlie picked us up - he was great and super informative. We booked an island tour with Marvin on beach. He was full that day but found Evol to take us. He was fantastic. We saw all the sites, stopped for some pineapple and did a little shopping in St. Johns. We did Extreme Circumnavigation tour and it was highlight of our trip. David was our captain and Dino/Kimber were mates. There were people on boat that
