The Willow Historical Guest House Reviews

We really enjoyed our stay at the Willow Historical Guest House. The host was very kind and welcoming. The rooms were cozy and warm which was perfect for the freezing weather. The highlight of our stay was the dinner we highly recommend dining at the guest house.

What a lovely way to spend a night. We were in Willowmore exploring the feasibility of including it on our painting tour. Even though we didn't feel the town quite fulfilled that need it was not a reflection on the accommodation. The owner and her staff were so friendly and welcoming. The accommodation was very comfortable with both aircon and a ceiling fan in our room which kept us cool on a hot night. The pool and garden with a cold beer were a wonderful respite after a long day on the road. The evening meal offered typical Karoo cuisine and how lovely. A tasty breakfast the next morning was the perfect way to start the day before we got on the road again. Thank you and we will definitly recommend you to family and friends.

Willowmore Guest House met all our expectations. The large outside rooms with en-suite shower rooms were airconditioned and were very comfortable. The meals were good. Lovely garden and a pool. Nice and quiet.

Comfortable accommodation. Obliging hosts. Good food. Pool needs attention and if you don't like dogs, don't go there. (The dogs aren't troublesome)

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights, the room was comfortable clean and well equipped. Food was excellent and the service allowed us to enjoy our dining experience to the fullest. El-Anne is attentive, charming and made us feel at home. I cannot recommend The Willow highly enough.

The Willow Historical Guest House is superb. From warm welcome to good advice on the town and much more, a great place to have discovered.

I've stayed at this established more than 3 times now and not once have the standards dropped. The hosts really go out of their way to make sure that you are happy. The facilities are good and so is the food! I would 100% recommend!

What a great experience.,.. 10 out of 10. The host and staff are amazing. We were a group of girls who did the Leopard Baviaans trail, and this was a perfect final chapter for our journey.

Excellent accommodation, service and meals. Very helpful and attentive staff. Hostess was very accommodating and arranged dinner for us, as we were arriving by the time the kitchen was close to closing. Would really recommend this establishment and we will certainly return. A gem in Willowmore

I stayed at the Willow Guest House on my way to Knysna. The accommodation was very comfortable especially the electric blanket! El Anne was a wonderful host and we dined on delicious meals. This historical guest house is highly recommended. You won’t be disappointed!

The Willow Historical Guest House did not live up to expectations, but then neither did Willowmore. I would change the name to 'The Willow Old Guest House'. The property is in serious need of maintenance. We stayed in one of the garden cottages that I can only describe as 'shocking'. Website images do not reflect current status of the property. On a positive note the dinner served was excellent as was the service in the restaurant.

We stayed here at the recommendation of my sister, (an excellent cook), for its vintage charm and great traditional Karoo meals. We weren’t disappointed. We also enjoyed a dip in the pool and the laid back atmosphere of the guesthouse and the town itself. El-Anne is a very good host, as are her staff.

Élanne is a gracious and attentive host. Our room was spacious and the bed was super comfy. We also had great WiFi connection Elanne served as a scrumptious dinner and delicious breakfast. We throughly enjoyed our stay at the historical guesthouse in sleepy Willowmore. We felt safe with the six friendly, energetic and lively dogs around
