I want to love the Hotel Du Pont but I just can’t. My latest visit was just “fine” at best. Make no mistake there are absolutely no in-room amenities as stated on the web-site. My room didn’t even have a mirror besides the shoulder-height one at the sink. The “glasses” to drink in are flimsy plastic wrapped cups ala Holiday Inn Express. One bottle of water was provided which I mistakenly used to heat water in the coffee machine for a cup of tea only to find what spurted was first leftover musty water from a rarely cleaned machine. Sadly, I was gone from my room from 11am-4pm and never received housekeeping services. The decor is lovely although dated. I will stay again only because I have family who lives in the adjoining apar**ent building, but the price of the room and the hype as a luxury hotel is simply overblown.

This is a nice older hotel located in downtown Wilmington. My room was large and comfortable, with ample work space, plenty of outlets and a strong wifi signal. The bathroom was pretty large too, and both the room and bathroom were immaculate. Service throughout the hotel was very good too.

Good service, dated hotel, bathrooms and carpet need upgrades, bar was good, food was good, water pressure in bathrooms were not that good at all, oxidation in bathrooms, carpet worn out. Good WiFi

We were here for a wedding event. The venue was beautiful and staff was friendly/helpful. The rooms were outdated, one of the queen beds had a dip in the middle and the shower pressure was less than adequate.
