Mirror Lake Inn

Everything about this place is first class -- the rooms, the common areas, the staff, the service, the restaurant, the amenities. Our only (very) slight quibble is that we did not love the bed. The property itself is probably the best spot in all of Lake Placid. The grounds and buildings make it stunningly beautiful. Our stay was not inexpensive at $1,200+ for two nights in one of the suites in the main building. However we left feeling that it was worth every penny.

mirror lake inn spa and resort is amazing the rooms and decor is so beautiful and relaxing. it's so peaceful. the staff is very polite and courteous and friendly. the spa services are amazing and the pool sauna and hot tub are breath taking. lake Placid up in the Adirondacks so peaceful, just another reason to visit. if you can swing the cost it's worth every penny! so a wonderful place. this was our 3rd time here and wont be our last.. also the view restaurant lives up to the 4 diamond status. the cottage restaurant is wonderful too. a+ thank you so much.

We loved this magnificent resort! From the moment we arrived we felt like we were the most important people here. Our room was ready early and it was absolutely lovely. Our room overlooked Mirror Lake and it was stunning!! The room was well maintained and the beds were super comfortable. The room darkening curtains enabled me to sit and watch the sunrise from the room while my family slept in the dark. We loved the main house where there was always a fire in the morning to take the chill out. The decor in the sitting areas were a great place to enjoy coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. The front desk staff were always available, friendly and so helpful. When anyone would approach they stood at attention and maintained good eye contact (you don’t get this everywhere - trust me because I travel a lot!). We loved the spa. Had two great treatments and enjoy the sauna as well. Be sure to book early! The View restaurant was excellent. Our server, Naomi (I think that was her name?) was just OK. Not super attentive but we were enjoying family time so it didn’t bother us much and it didn’t warrant a conversation with management. There was a lot to do there as well. Many amenities and access to games or equipment to enjoy mirror lake (boats, fishing rods, etc.). We enjoyed playing cornhole or just walking around. We played chess with their big chess set and enjoyed sitting around the fire at night. It didn’t feel crowded at all! Mirror Lake Inn is in such a great location. You could easily walk into town for shopping or eating. We loved this place and will be back again in the summer and also want to try it in the winter!

Excellent restaurant and the gym is brand new. The room was on the large side and very comfortable. The pool, sauna, and hot tub were clean and running well. The staff were very engaging and helpful. It is the best hotel experience I have ever had. The atmosphere was Adirondack with stuffed animals and very relaxing and low stress. Not a fit for rambunctious kids.

The Mirror Lake Inn is one of the most wonderful places I have ever stayed! I have been spending time at the Inn for years and, while it is always amazing, this past visit was simply superb. My friend and I stayed in a room overlooking the lake. The room was clean, cozy, and had everything we could have wanted (best sleep I've had in months!) The staff were consistently helpful and friendly, whether it was just saying "good morning" or helping out after we locked ourselves out :) The grounds were gorgeous. Each morning we took a dip in the lake at the Inn's peaceful private beach and each evening we sat by the fire pit that was kept on rain or shine for the guests. The food was exquisite, whether it was a four course meal at the View or simple snacks from the Cottage. The Inn offered a peaceful and carefree experience and I would return in a heartbeat!

The Mirror Lake Inn delivers a first-rate experience every time. Ideal location, splendid ambiance, luxury accommodations and wonderful staff all rolled-up into one to produce the perfect get-away. Can't say enough great things about the dining - highly recommend Lisa's Favorite sandwich at the Cottage and my personal favorite breakfast - the home-made granola at the View. I took my daughter son in law and grandchildren to ski whiteface mountain and stayed at the inn. Service was impeccable rooms were over the top and the food at the View Restaurant was a real treat. Ethan arranged our skis and passes and everyone was perfectly fitted, even the grands who were first time skiers.

The mirror lake inn was by far one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. We were in a family room in the lake cottage and it was magnificent. Every little detail from the coat rack by the door, the 2 mini fridges, a fireplace, the plug and lights in the bunk bed, and the cleanliness of the entire room. We also happened to be here during an April snowstorm and let me tell you they did a great job maintaining pathways and I liked that they used sand (only room suggestion I could make is a door mat inside I felt terrible tracking in). We enjoyed breakfast at the view 2 mornings and Josie our sever was the sweetest person told us to feel free to play in the snow on the beach and even asked us how are days were. The pancakes were phenomenal my girls said better than mine. We truly appreciate being able to split an order of them because they were huge! Dinner at the view was delicious service was top notch wish I can remember her name but she was from Serbia. Risotto fritters and maple cheesecake was a highlight. Thank you for having a children’s menu. My husband throughly enjoyed his hot stone massage said it was so relaxing he feel asleep. The indoor pool was our girls favorite very clean and beautiful facility. Thank you for all your kindness towards my family we had a great time and look forward to returning.

The last time we visited was late summer and this visit early spring. One of the many incredible things about a stay at the Mirror Lake Inn- no matter what season you are guaranteed to have a fantastic stay! Our room offered spectacular views of the Mirror Lake and still snow capped mountains. The staff is notably friendly, responsive and attentive! After a great day of spring skiing we rested by the fire in the library - ultimate relaxation! The Mirror Lake Inn encompasses Adirondack charm and elegance! As always our stay was an A++!
