Comfort Inn & Suites Saratoga Springs

Had a nice large room with the usual facilities - Tea/Coffee maker, TV, microwave, fridge and 2 x queen size beds. Very pleasant arrival. Room and bathroom were very clean as was the bedding. No facilities for dinner dining in the hotel. Have to eat out somewhere else. There is a Walmart Suprecentre across the road so we bought goodies from there and brought them back to our room. Went down for breakfast at 08:00 and there was nowhere to sit apart from the fireplace hearth!!!!! There were insufficient tables to accommodate all those who were wanting breakfast. Only 2 settees in Reception, both occupied by diners Other downsides were, no bar in which to relax in the evening and have a drink and no sockets available in the room with which to charge cameras or phones. There were also some broken tiles on the bathroom floor which will contain germs

We stayed one night and were very happy. I checked the rates several times and was a little annoyed that the price kept increasing, but booked early enough to still get a good deal. The hotel was pretty crowded, but was very quiet. We used the pool which was very clean and quiet. The breakfast in the morning was great. Homemade waffles, fruit, muffins, etc. I would definitely return.

We have been visiting this hotel for over 10 years by ourselves and our family members at least twice a year. Past visits have always been good with no complaints or issues. This year my wife and I went away for a Valentines Day getaway without our children. Upon arrival, I was charged a "$100 fee" which I have NEVER been charged for booking a room. I figured as long as the fee is returned upon departure, not a big deal. The room was the worst as far as cleanliness as we've EVER experienced. Upon arrival I had to use the bathroom, and was disgusted by the scene of a public hair floating in the toilet that had not been obviously previously flushed. I dismissed it to maybe being short staffed with the loss of bookings due to COVID. The rest of the trip went OK. A day after leaving we were charged $267 for smoking in our room, which NEVER happened, nor has it EVER happened in the over 10 years we've stayed here. They "allege" they have photo evidence which OF COURSE was never sent to me. There was NO smell of smoke in our room upon arrival, nor upon departure!! Anyone with half a brain cell knows, NO MATTER WHAT you smoke, it WILL leave a smell for days! Not to mention, if their security cameras actually work for the safety of their staff and guests, then they have video evidence of my wife and I going down to their "designated outside smoking area" every few hours. After my wife called to talk to the hotel about the charge, and some uneducated, ignorant, and rude employee didn't listen to her and fought with her how we smoked in the room, I don't expect anything to change. We will just continue to stay at the Marriott up the road where they hire nice, competent, guest friendly, and smart employees. Just want everyone to know that no matter how long you're a returning customer to this company's hotel, EVENTUALLY you will be crapped on and charged for b.s. charges. Never again!!

This hotel is dirty. The bathroom had peeling wallpaper, filthy grout, filthy carpet, water stains on the walls and ceiling of the room, and a door that didn't fit properly. We came back to the room after it had been "cleaned" and the door hadn't even been closed! Anyone could have just walked right in! We paid over $300 for this room since I booked it on Trip Advisor! DON'T BOOK ON TRIP ADVISOR!!! What a terrible thing to do to a customer!!!!!!!!! The hotel said they couldn't change us to their regular rate (50% cheaper than what we paid by booking through a Trip Advisor partner!) since I had booked it through a Trip Advisor partner. I booked for our friends as well and they got screwed, too, by having to pay DOUBLE THE RATE for a filthy, terrible room. OMG!!!!! The free breakfast was dreadful and dried out! We couldn't eat it and had to go elsewhere for breakfast! The only nice thing about this place was the friendly staff. But, we would rather have had rude staff and a CLEAN ROOM AND BATHROOM AT A REASONABLE PRICE!!! The Price Finder service is a ripoff!!! I copied this DIRECTLY FROM THE TRIP ADVISOR SITE..."Book the lowest prices on TripAdvisor. We check rates from hundreds of sites to find you the lowest prices on hotels." DON'T DO IT!!! No one, it seems, is able to refund your money for such a ripoff!!! DO NOT BELIEVE THIS!!! CALL THE HOTEL DIRECTLY TO BOOK!!!

Incredible customer service, we even had forgotten an expensive diamond necklace and panicked when we realized about an hours’ drive away. The reception found the necklace and kept it safe for our return. Great experience in every way and bless their hearts for securing this important piece for us.

No blackout curtains. Light from outdoor lamps shine in as does the early morning sun. Room was neat and clean but obviously well worn and old.
