King's Head Hotel by Greene King Inns

We had a very enjoyable evening when we visited the King's Head last week. We had dinner in the bar area before attending the quiz. We received a very warm welcome from Zoe and we were well looked after by Jes and Sinead. The food has improved since our last visit and we intend to use the place more in the future.

Just to say what an outstanding Sunday lunch we had today. The service was exemplary all the way through from the initial welcome to the service we received.All the meals came out the same time and were hot too Special thanks to the whole team at Wimborne Lauren and Zoe really looked after us and can you please thank the manager Brian who was great Oh and I forgot The food was just awesome Please thank the chefs Rob & Adam Will be back soon A true 5star experience!!

Great location, right in the centre of town. Good size room with large bed. Bar / Restaurant downstairs and several restaurants within walking distance. Very good value for money.

We have just returned home from an evening meal and couldn’t wait to share the experience we received. The service was fantastic. Jess and Karen could not have been any more attentive. Jess took our drinks order and confidently answered our questions. Jess was friendly, professional, and worked hard to ensure that all the other customers within our area received the same attention. Karen was equally amazing; their teamwork was remarkable. The service more than made up for the meal. Dessert, The Bakewell Tart was lovely, but my Caesar salad was average, not enough cheese, more of a vinaigrette than Caesar sauce and the smallest chicken breast. The other meals were good though.

We just visited this hotel as we needed to be in Dorset. The hotel is wonderful on so many levels. The service is like 5 star service the room was clean and big and much more spacious than I expected. The staff and manager was just excellent and kind and nothing was too much. I would go back again and will go visit again in August. Oh and the breakfast was so yummy and good value for money. Love it. So love this hotel.

Great Hotel and Lovely StaffWe stayed here recently and what a lovely hotel it is. Bang in the centre of town, so convenient for everything. The room had everything you needed and the bed was extremely comfortable. All the staff, all of them were friendly from the housekeepers to the service staff and special mention to Trefor and Brian. Such lovely hosts. Food was good , breakfast very generous. Will be back in the summer for sure.

I can't speak for the accommodation but we wandered in (no booking) on a Sunday evening for dinner. There were 3 adults and 3 children. The staff seated us immediately, were extremely friendly and accommodating, and the dishes served - including to a very fussy child - were excellent.

I have a evening meal 22nd April. I called in by chance as it was a Monday night and other restaurants were closed in the village that I wanted to have a meal at. The starter was ravioli. It was cold and not good. The main was sea bass risotto. It was mushy and the fish was just about edible .. I just wanted to leave as fast as possible.. I asked at the place I was staying did I get an unlucky night and was told by 5 local residents having a drink at the bar . The food is awful there and locals know it. Why did I go there they said You have been advised . Do not eat here .

A really welcoming hotel ,,, great staff who look happy and like they actually care. Very good breakfast and extremely comfortable bed. Very clean. Great location and will be returning in summer for family wedding. Many thanks to all the staff
