Excellent boutique hotel! Beautifully appointed rooms, stayed in suite 3. Jane has been very friendly and helpful in the restaurant and reception. Will definitely return. A great start to our Namibia road trip. We arrived at Windhoek airport and checked into Olive Exclusive, we loved the touch of Africa, and the smiles on the staff’s faces as they welcomed us. Do yourself a favour and eat in, the menu is excellent as well as the wine selection. Nothing was too much trouble.

An unbeatable way to start your Namibian vacation. The Olive Exclusive has all the quality of a big-brand hotel chain. At the same time, it’s small and personal; so it feels like you’re staying at home with friends. And certainly the management and staff make it feel like home. Gavin, Melissa, Daphne and Antoinette were happy to go the extra mile and more. A small example: we wanted to wander over to Independence Avenue and see the Christuskiche. Though it’s a pretty safe city, Gavin said it gets a little too quiet on a weekend (this was a Saturday). So he drove us there and then picked us up after we’d had a bit of a wander. The food at the hotel is great and the suites are tastefully done. We didn’t use the plunge pool but it looked nice, though a little small. Our guidebook says that Namibia makes for a soft landing into Africa. Well, in the same way, The Olive Exclusive makes for a soft landing into Namibia! Strongly recommended. It’s a small property with only 7 suites, so plan well and book in advance.

The hotel was nice. It’s what I would say is secluded with a gate, so didn’t feel comfortable exploring. That left the hotel as the only place to eat. The room was ok. There are a lot of floor lights which are distracting. The beds were comfortable. The shower was AMAZING. The best water pressure. The staff was great as well.

Windhoek needs a top quality hotel and the Olive Exclusive could be fabulous Arrived to find a glorious room bathed in sunshine but soon found that maintenance was severely lacking. The door lock did not work and the room was freezing cold as it transpired that the heating units were actually set to cooling. Three visits later (including from the head of maintenance) nobody could do anything and they produced a small old oil filled radiator. When I tackled the manager at dinner on this she looked at me and said well are the units set the heating rather than cooling. In one visit from her it was sorted - none of the people who had been to the room to look at this were able to identify the problem - complete lack of training - how about some instructions in the room? Dinner was equally uninspiring - ordered a fillet steak almost London prices to be presented with a tough cold piece of meat which is clearly been reheated - sent it back they cut it in half put it on the grill and returned it lukewarm. I sent it back again and said I wanted a new piece of fillet and it was delicious - complete try on to get me to eat old meat? This hotel could be fabulous if only they could get everyone in the place to be as efficient and friendly as the reception lady who greeted me when I arrived Completely unmet potential

A little outside the town a very beautiful, beautifully decorated lodge. A perfect welcome, with friendly, smiling and professional staff. We had a superb suite, large, very large, also decorated with great taste. Infinity pool with beautiful view of the olive trees. Nothing is missing, very clean, high quality bedding. Wifi in the room. The evening dinner is succulent, plentiful with impeccable service from the smiling and professional Antoinette. A great cocktail made by the Chef himself. And what about the lunchtime hamburger, a masterpiece. All the staff are attentive and ready to help you, especially with internet problems. A very beautiful, high-class establishment. Thank you to the whole team for your class.

The name of the hotel was changed to Olive Grove Hotel at some point without our knowledge. This confused us. When we arrived, we stood in front of the locked gate for a few minutes and didn't know if we were in the right place. When two employees happened to open the gate because they had to go out, we were able to drive in and ask. We were greeted briefly and taken to a different suite than the one we had booked without any explanation. When I asked why we didn't get the Etosha Suite we had booked, I was told that the pool was not working because it had rained so heavily the previous night. We didn't like the replacement suite at all. It was cooled down to 18 degrees, which felt like a freezer when we entered. In addition, hardly any light came into the room because the bushes in front of the balcony (which is referred to as an olive grove in the hotel description) were so overgrown that it almost completely blocked the view outside. Not that you can look out onto a beautiful garden, what is called an olive grove is overgrown, unkempt wasteland that no one seems to be responsible for. When I looked into the plunge pool, I immediately knew that it was too dirty for me to go in there. The edge of the pool was covered with a wooden ***** with a large piece broken off and even a rusty nail sticking out. Someone has already criticized that, so in this house the obvious defects are simply ignored. There was a large hole in the water basin for the feet, so it was unusable and they could have just removed it instead of leaving it broken. I didn't want to sleep in the replacement suite. We asked to be shown the Ethosha Suite despite the unusable plunge pool. At least it wasn't so overgrown that light came in. But there were algae deposits in the plunge pool that couldn't have appeared just a few days ago. What is so difficult about cleaning the plunge pool or repainting it? After all, you're paying well over 500 euros for a night with breakfast. I've never seen anything so disgusting in a hotel. The two balcony chairs weren't in good condition either. The seats were torn on the sides of both chairs. The wallpaper in the toilet is peeling off considerably. I don't think it would be a big effort to stick it back on. There's a ladder in the room for decoration, and one rung has already broken off. Can't you remove it if it's not going to be of any use anyway, instead of leaving it standing around broken? The drinks in the fridge were completely frozen. Most of the defects could be fixed without great expense and with a cleaning rag. By the way, the Chris**as decorations are still up in the dining room (at the end of March). But the highlight is the communal pool. Something that is important in a hotel

Nice place, nice terrace, very nice rooms, nice manager who accompanied us to the restaurant with her car, but the hairdryer does not work, we are woken up at 7 a.m. by the work in the room next door, no bottle opener for the mini bar, no one to open the gate when returning from the restaurant at 10 p.m., you have to wait and honk in the middle of the night, in short, details, but in number, therefore a little annoying.....

Based on the recommendation of my agency, I spent a night here in a junior suite. A mistake when you look at the price/performance ratio. The best thing is the impressively large, tastefully furnished, comfortable room. Also worth mentioning is the always friendly Rosalie, who can't do anything about the shortcomings. The current service ranges from breakfast at 8 a.m. (not earlier) to 5 p.m. (not later, so no dinner). But: the pool is completely filthy, the loungers are broken, the cushions and chairs on the room terrace are dirty and the fabric is torn, bird droppings everywhere, structural damage, the question about a parasol went unanswered until departure. With relatively little effort, the house could shine in its former glory, but that is obviously not what is wanted. A shame. The prices are completely excessive. Better to avoid until it is renovated. Three points just for the beautiful room.
