We booked the Royal Adelaide for a two night trip to Windsor after reading it's great reviews. We were really impressed with the booking confirmation process, the invaluable information shared and particularly the excellent phone app guidebook which provided all the information you could want about hotel facilities, the provisions in the room, nearby attractions and recommendations on other places to eat out. The hotel prides itself on its dog friendliness and this was evident with Rudi's welcome and particularly the fuss he was given by housekeeping. We booked a suite and were delighted to benefit from a really luxurious and clean room (not always a given for dog friendly stays). During our stay we met three different reception staff and all of them were incredibly professional, helpful, warm and welcoming. They even agreed to chill a bottle for us without any hassle as well as being on hand to help other guests who'd needed scissors for an outfit repair before a castle investiture. Our meals were served in the bar area to accommodate Rudi and the nicely lit and convivial atmosphere still made meals feel special. We had dinner at the hotel one evening and the meal itself was probably the weakest element of our stay. The prices were sensible but the burgers in particular were dry and the meal more average than anticipated. This however was balanced by the most exceptional and attentive service we have experienced at any hotel. Ishmael who served us at the bar and waited our table noticed each time our glasses were low, topping them up and providing unobtrusive impeccable service. He was bright, engaging and extremely helpful including assisting us in the room with a TV remote control issue. He is an absolute credit to the hotel and his professionalism would not be out of place at Michelin restaurants. Breakfast service was good and the breakfast was good too. We would definitely return to the Royal Adelaide if returning to Windsor. Thank you for making a special trip feel so luxurious and comfortable
