This B&B was perfect for our visit to Legoland which is only 5 minutes away. Our stay was relaxed because we had a family room for our unusual group - grandmother, mother, teenager and baby - which worked, and breakfast was provided in our room, a good continental selection, which made life easy. Very clean, well appointed. On street parking.

Really lovely B&B. Great location. Rooms modern and clean. Garden Cottage is great. The weather was great so we were able to have breakfast in the garden. Had the run of the main house so cam back in the evening and had drinks together. Easy to access rooms. Great for visit g Royal Ascot.

We stayed just one night at the Alma House B&B. We were booked in the annexe which is basically a small bonus room extension at the bottom of the house driveway. Very impractical for getting our luggage in and out as cars were parked down the length if the narrow driveway, making it almost impossible to get large suitcases down to the accommodation, we had to ask for the owners assistants to help with check in and check out for this. The place is very clean and nicely furnished with all basic amenities required. I do feel for the price they charge per night that a full cooked breakfast should be offered to guests, the ‘continental breakfast’ items that were left in the room were meagre at best, some yogurts, milk, small cereal selection and bread and bagels, 2 pieces of fruit only were in the fruit bowl. Don’t really feel it was value for money except this IS Windsor and places can change pretty much what they want, especially in the Summer with so much going on at the Castle, Ascot Races etc…it is about 15 minutes steady walk from the town centre/castle. The people we came into contact with were all helpful and friendly. Do your homework.

As a family we wished to spend a long weekend in Windsor, traveling by train from Cardiff as a group of 8. We are so pleased we chose Alma House. From point of booking they were very accommodating. Alice dealt with many queries in advance about room suitability for my parents who preferred to stay in the cottage rather than the double room at the top of the house due to the stairs and to be closer to my room and my brothers and his family's room next door. We had a wonderful stay. Our breakfast was plentiful and we were well equipped in the room for everything we needed. Very handy to have a fridge! We enjoyed the fine May weather and had leisurely strolls in and out of the town on a daily basis. Staying at Alma house was a pleasant alternative to some of the hotels in the heart of Windsor as it was more relaxed and comfortable. During our stay we visited Windsor Castle, Alexandra Gardens, did a boat trip on the Thames and the kids loved the duck bus. Highly recommend this property for a great base for a trip to Windsor. Thank you to all the staff who were very helpful

We were visiting Windsor to take in the Castle, Eton, etc. This impressive B&B looked good from its reviews but was even better in person. We arrived way too early and pulled up on the drive. The chap who was working on preparing our room had no problem with us being early and said he'd get our room finished asap then we could just move in. It was OK to leave our car on the drive while we went for a quick mooch around Windsor. The chap was true to his word and handed over the keys when we returned. He was very smiley throughout and we brought him a couple of doughnuts back for him as a small 'thank you'. The availability of parking was what had appealed to us when we were looking to stay in Windsor. There is a longish driveway along the side of Alma House and guests can park there in a line, on a first come, first served basis. This could cause a problem getting out on leaving if one is blocked in but our smiley chap had it under control. Guests are requested to leave their car keys behind when going out so it wasn't a problem to shuffle the cars when we left. Breakfast is provided in the room - there is a toaster, fresh bread, bagels, fresh milk (in the fridge) and packets of cereals. All perfectly good and convenient. We don't think you can beat this place if you're looking for somewhere that is handy for town, has parking included and is true value for money.

We stayed for two nights (Sunday and Monday). We were fortunate because we were able to collect our tickets for a Monday trip to Windsor Castle just in the nick of time before closing and also were able to visit the Eton College Museum of Eton Life which only opens on Sundays just before it closed for the weekend. We were able to park easily in the drive for the whole stay. Once parked the car didn't move. You leave your car keys in your room in case manoeuvres are necessary. Our room (1A) was comfortable and a good size. The adjacent bathroom (not en suite but our own, ie not shared) was enormous with a superb roll top bath, large shower and fireplace(!). Not being en suite was not an issue because dressing gowns are provided so it wasn't too different from our experience at home. For rooms 1A and 2A breakfast is a pleasant DIY continental experience in the breakfast room with smart adjoining kitchen. Alma House is probably about 15 minutes from Windsor Castle entrance going at a moderate walking pace. So the location and availability of free parking is a real bonus. The only downside is that the aeroplanes switched direction on Tuesday morning which gave us a pretty early awakening. Surprisingly they are much louder when landing. When taking off, many bank away and they are also much higher so the noise isn't nearly as noticeable. Leaving was fun. Two cars needed to be moved for us to get out. Once we'd "You Tubed" how to start an Audi A4 we were good to go. We noticed the property is up for sale. Let's hope others get to enjoy a similar experience to us in future.

Spotlessly clean and pleasantly spacious were our first impressions of this guest house. Parking is at a premium in Windsor so we were delighted to find accommodation with free parking for 3-4 cars on site. We were greeted by the very friendly and professional Lauren who showed us our room much earlier than rooms are usually ready. We were surprised to learn that we had to leave our room to access our bathroom; note to self “Read the website properly!” The owners do however provide bath robes for this purpose. We are always too warm in hotel bedrooms so are quite used to turning off radiators and opening windows before retiring; very easily done at The Alma. The mattress was really comfy and I loved the thick cosy duvet, but would have liked the choice of thick or thin pillows. Lauren was already at work doing laundry when we came down for breakfast (she’s a treasure!) and we helped ourselves easily to orange juice, crunchy nut cornflakes (yesss!), toast and preserves, plus tea and coffee. There were several more choices too. Windsor is my hometown and I like to visit every 5-6 years, staying somewhere different each time, but next time I’ll return to The Alma (and book an en suite room).

Amazing place, stayed here for two nights with our 7 & 5 year old. Lovely to have all the breakfast food in our room for when we needed it (7am 😳). Comfy beds and lovely showers. For the second night the room looked as good as the first night. We’ll be back.

Lovely few days bringing in the New Year down in Windsor & London. Much needed break away. If anyone is visiting Windsor, check out Alma Bed & Breakfast. Although a b&b, you have your breakfast provided in your own room. It’s a continental breakfast so you if want a cooked breakfast, there are a number of cafes nearby. The room has everything you need for a short break away. It’s in a quiet area and is about a 15min walk to the castle & centre of town/train station. Also it’s about 20miles alway from Heathrow airport. Have to compliment the hand/shower gel, it was gorgeous. Ordering some for myself 😄 Would definitely recommend a stay here & topped off with a little welcome Prosecco, nice touch 🥂
