Windsor Mansion Inn

This was a wonder gem that we found last minute. If I could give the owner/manager 10 stars I would. He was amazing. Think his name was Andy. He worked tirelessly up and down this stairs all day and night. He even let me borrow a 4 port USB charger for the night which saved the day for my daughter. I would highly recommend this place and we will be going back for sure.

Thus stately home could not be more welcoming and cozy. It is nicely appointed with period prices and has spectacular dental crown molding coving the entire great hall. The rooms are accommodating, clean, with wonderful comfortable beds and spacious baths. Andy, your hous, is kind, thoughtful, and always looking for ways to enhance your experience. He is extremly knowledgeable about the actuvities and places to see in the area. He will regain you with the history and folklore of the home, upon request .5 out of 5

So glad we met Andy! He was exceptional - a wealth of knowledge and so much fun to spend time with. If you enjoy American history, you need to stay at the Windsor Mansion Inn. Very clean and comfortable rooms, and good food. A+++ across the board.

The Windsor Mansion Inn was wonderful, loved everything about our stay. Andy, The Innkeeper was great and we can't wait to return. Room was comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Loved sitting in the bar playing backgammon

The Windsor Mansion Inn was truly such a beautiful place that is so full of history and we highly recommend it to anyone traveling through Vermont to stop and experience the lovely stay. Andy was super helpful in everything- he provided recommendations on things to do in the area since it was leaf peeping season, he is very accommodating to all the guests, and is super friendly. He truly is the heart of Windsor and made our experience so memorable. We stayed in the East Lake Room- the bed was so comfortable and the room was really charming. The breakfast was yummy too- the maple sausage and breakfast casserole was our favorite! When we come back to Vermont to visit we will 100% be staying at Windsor Mansion again! - Alli and Matt

Birthday trip for the wife and I. Beautiful and full fall foliage and cool crisp air!! Stayed in the Grey Room. Immaculate grounds and warm reception from the Innkeeper, Andy whose authenticity and wealth of knowledge and history of the Inn were top notch. So much to do around the surrounding areas!!! If you are looking for the complete couple's getaway, DO NOT hesitate to stop here for the night or weekend!!! We will definitely return as soon as we can!!!

I stayed just last night for a wedding we had to travel for, and I couldn’t resist writing a review immediately! The rooms were immaculately clean and gorgeous! My husband and I stayed in the Gordon Ramsey room and the view from the balcony was gorgeous! The inn keeper (I believe his name was Andy) went above and beyond to make our stay that much more meaningful! He was so kind and attentive and knew so much history he shared with us and he literally made our stay that much more fun. My husband, In-laws and myself really enjoyed the stay and can’t wait to return! The breakfast was absolutely delicious too especially the sausage and muffins! Thank you so much to the staff for making our stay truly magical!

We chose Windsor Mansion Inn for our stay in VT because we were looking for something other than the standard hotel experience, and Windsor Mansion Inn didn't disappoint. It was very relaxing and it felt more like staying at a friend's house than at a hotel. Andy, the host, was very attentive and his recommendations for local activities were spot on, even for our travels back through southern NH. This "mansion" has potential but...as soon as you drive up, there are signs telling you what you can't do. Then you walk in and more of the same. The photos I took have been photoshopped. The house is of course old, but the website photos are not at all what you think you will experience. I was so excited about the "pub" with the roaring fire and baby grand piano. Nope. No fire. The piano was stuffed in the corner, top down and covered with puzzles and games. Bar stools were not there. It was dark and unwelcoming. What I thought would be a charming stay was tired and unattended to...dead flowers on the mantle where there was breakfast served among several chairs stacked on top of each other, no fire in the fireplace with a random fridge next to it (huh?) A paper towel for a napkin (what???) The room was EH, the shower curtain inside the old tub was stained and please bring your own pillows or you'll get a neck injury. Oh, wear boots in case there is a bit of rain as the parking area becomes a muddy mess. And when you leave, don't look up at the side porch-perhaps they were waiting for the "Got Junk?" free pickup truck. Other than that, for $200.00 a night with an ok breakfast (don't forget to bring a napkin) during peak fall season (no color, that's why we have photo shop) you'll think you died and went to mansion heaven.
