My wife and I stayed for one night, while seeing a show at the ******. The staff were friendly and our check in experience was smooth. We were happily surprised that our room was a suite (I assumed it would be a standard king room), and everything was clean and well kept. The room didn't feel super modern or updated, but there was nothing wrong with it.
As others have mentioned, the hotel feels like it's in a bit of a sketchy area. We walked to dinner, the ******, then back to the hotel. I didn't feel particularly unsafe, but it is very much in a run down part of the city. I don't like to leave a negative review based on just that, but for us the worst part was the noise.
Our room faced the street, and we were kept up from loud cars/trucks/emergency vehicles for much of the night. We live in a downtown area and are used to the background noise of traffic, but there are traffic lights at the corner where the hotel is- every vehicle passing by was not only loud, but was accelerating from a stop right beside us when the lights changed.
We also woke up at around 3am to the cleaning service going into the next room. I'm not sure if there was an unexpected cleanup needed or what the situation was, but either way it added to our noisy stay unfortunately.
The price was slightly lower than some other options, but based on our disrupted sleep we will likely go with a different location next time
