The worst pub roast I've ever had!!! The roast was a huge disappointment considering it cost £18.95 each, we had one parsnip, about 3 of the smallest chanternie carrots ever, the smallest chicken thigh that I'd ever seen.Instead of a gravy boat on the side so you could put your own gravy on, the gravy was already on the roast dinner and it was the worst gravy I have ever tasted in my life. It was really creamy and had a dreadful flavour that i couldn'tworkoutwhatitwas. Will not be returning.

2 day stay visiting family. As always, fabulous friendly people, great rooms, comfortable and topped off with a very fresh well made breakfast. Lovely spot by the river as well and only 2 miles out of the centre of Christchurch.

The worst pub roast I've ever had!!! We ordered the king prawn cocktail for £9.95 We didn't mind paying that for king prawns but they weren't king prawns they were the tiniest prawns I've ever seen they were no bigger than my thumb nail. The roast was a huge disappointment considering it cost £18.95 each, we had one parsnip, about 3 of the smallest chanternie carrots ever. Instead of a gravy boat on the side so you could put your own gravy on, the gravy was already on the roast dinner and it was the worst gravy I have ever tasted in my life. It was really creamy and had a dreadful flavour and texture. £64 for two starters two roast dinners and two soft drinks. Will not be returning. The south African guy serving shouldn't be front of house, very abrupt and unfriendly.

My husband and I stayed at the Fisherman's Haunt for 2 nights whilst visiting our son at university in Bournemouth. It was a lovely experience. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The room was very cosy, comfortable and decorated beautifully. We really were very impressed. We ate in the restaurant on our first evening and the food was very nice - good portions and cooked well. Breakfast in the morning was relaxed and again, the food was cooked well. I would definitely recommend and if I were to return to the area, I would stay again. Great value for the money.

The wife and I have just stayed at this accommodation for the last 3 days. The room we stayed in was number 10 ( Professor), it was very nice. The owner and staff were very nice and the breakfasts were very good and very substantial. It is a very nice place to stay and would recommend a visit if in the area of Winkton, Dorset.

The great historic atmosphere. Staff went out of their way to accommodate my husband's diet! and English breakfast had everything I had hoped for. The suite we stayed in overnight was a lovely surprise; the bed, linens, shower room. And parking right outside. Thank you. We will make this our hotel of choice when we visit family in Christchurch every six months.
