Really lovely, central hotel, set back from the main road. Quiet, spotlessly clean and the room was warm and cosy, with nice decor. Home away from home. Didn’t use hotel amenities, bar room service. From what I saw, it was of high standard. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Lots of multiple problems with their systems. They had another couple booked into our room who were given keys to our room. Problems with access to our room with keys etc. We thought we have prepaid for this room. They have asked for our credit card and belive we may have been charged twice. We are checking this out now and will bein touch.

DoubleTree by Hilton St. Anne's Manor Wokingham UK Stayed at this hotel for a wedding last weekend. WHAT A NIGHTMARE ! On arrival we were told we were lucky to be being booked in by someone who would take applepay as most staff would refuse to do the payment as they didn’t understand the system. We were then asked to put the payment through twice and show card details even though the payment had been accepted on the first attempt. We noticed that instead of £327 per room being taken ( we had booked two rooms ) that a payment for over £400 per room had been taken. This was apparently in case we ran up ‘ room service’ charges despite the hotel having our card details. One of the wedding party also staying at the hotel is deaf so on booking their relatives checked that the hotel had facilities to accommodate this in the event of a fire alarm and were assured that this facility was in place. On arrival when requesting this the family were told the hotel did have it but no staff knew how to set it up, so No it wouldn’t be possible !! The room was comfortable but basic, on going down to the pool we found it was ‘ out of order ‘, when asking why this had not been mentioned we were told it had been a management decision not to tell guests before checking in so they did not cancel their reservations. The QR code showed a varied room service menu so we decided to go down to the restaurant for a look. Mac and cheese was £28 and we were told room service was a choice of sandwiches or soup not what was shown on the menu so we ate out. After leaving the hotel on Sunday after checking out the hotel took another payment for 2 rooms so our bank on Monday showed 4 x payments of £408 pending. We telephoned the hotel to be told by a very rude receptionist that the payments would sort themselves out and before we could answer she put the phone down. The head office is stated as being in Watford. There is an address, no email but a telephone number which on ringing an operator informs you that the number doesn’t exist. Other members of the wedding party had exactly the same issues and responses from the hotel staff. One gentleman was given someone’s name ( who apparently is on long term sick leave) and two email addresses which did not exist. The hotel was unwilling to cancel the 2nd payment they took and our bank cannot do it as it’s pending. As of today the payment for the two non existent rooms has been amended to £327 but not cancelled. Offered ‘points’ as compensation ( we have no intention of ever staying in a Hilton hotel again ) Contacted supposed head office via messenger and requested their complaints procedure which was refused. Spent over an hour numerous times to the hotel directly but as other guests have said no one ever answers the phone. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere…. This company is a nightmare

I live close by to this hotel myself, however I wanted the luxury of using the spa and staying over. Unfortunately on arrival I find out all the spa facilities minus the sauna are out of use.. when expressing why I booked this hotel I was offered a free drink voucher. Eventually I was authorised a refund. A women on the hotel desk said she’d processed this and a week later I’ve rang up and spoken to the manager who’s informed me “there was a computer error and they have no done the refund” a week on and again still no refund. So I’ve called this morning and told to check the third party I booked it through as they don’t know why it’s not refunded yet. (Why I wasn’t told to do this when speaking to the manager last week I’m unsure) I’ve contacted the third party website who take 10-15 business days to respond. I feel I’m going around in circles trying to get a £90 refund for a room I did not stay in. Extremely poor customer service and I wouldn’t recommend.

A great place to stay, warm welcome, super comfortable room, tea and coffee a welcome extra. Super soft towels 😊. Very quiet too! I was only disappointed by the pool being closed the evening of my stay as l booked this hotel because it had a pool.
