I needed a hotel close to Langford vets and this one was so affordable that honestly I was a bit nervous! However, my stay was excellent. Minutes from the vets, comfy beds, very clean overall, and refreshments including milk sachets. The wifi was also very good: I needed to do telecons and other remote work while I was there and had zero problems. I'm VERY noise-sensitive but it was also nice and quiet apart from a few voices and some very brief banging. Maybe I just didn't have next door neighbours, I can't say, but I would definitely stay there again. Minor issues: 1) Check-in only starts at 4:30pm and is 'contactless' (you get a message "after 4:30pm" letting you know how to access a key and the front door). I booked last minute so when 4:32pm came with no message I was getting worried I hadn't been noticed and called leaving a voicemail. But the message arrived [an email] at 4:37pm. I left another voicemail apologizing for my worry, but the owner kindly came to check I'd got in all right :) 2) It was a bit chilly at night, and - as with most hotels in August it seems - the radiators were turned off. I borrowed the duvet from the other bed and was fine, but would have been a bit cold otherwise. SUGGESTIONS TO THE OWNER: 1) Give a time range for sending out the check-in information (e.g., "between 4:30 and 4:45pm") so people don't start to worry and pester you! 2) Have a way for guests to request a heater, or provide one with the room; it's cosy so will heat up fast :)

I expect a property to a) have a roof b) not be a complete building site c) have a shower that works. It felt very unsafe to be here. This hotel is in no fit state to be offered as accommodation.

The beds where comfortable and clean however the bathroom wasn’t clean with spiders caught in webs and bath could have done with a good wash on the outside and loo. The view was more like looking into a builders yard than the wonderful country views as stated on the website.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times now and it is excellent value for money. The rooms are clean and well decorated. The room had everything needed. The self checkin is particularly efficient and stress free. I would certainly stay here again when in the area

We stopped here for one night as working in the area. A keycode entry. The room was ok with clean linen but the quilt desperately thin and the big radiator didnt work. We kept waking up because we were so cold. I messaged the owner Edd when we checked in to tell him but no response. I messaged again but still nothing. He left a comment after I left a review which was so insulting in was laughable. I would not recommend anyone stop here. This is the first negative review I have left. If the owner has this response I don't think he deserves to have a business.

You are emailed a code to open a key box for the key to your room and a separate code for the main door. The lobby is OK but smells musty and needs a personal touch to make it more inviting. On entering the room I was disappointed, It was terribly small and stated there would be a garden view. Instead we had a view of the car park and a metal container. it was just pure luck that the owner was on site, so I spoke to him and he up graded our room free of charge of which we were very grateful. however we could not use the bath as we're told there were problems with the boiler. The room could do with being updated and the shower wasn't great but it was comfortable. The most disappointing factor for me was there were no staff on site 24 hours a day, no functioning bar (even thought there is one) and no option for ANY food even though the sign says bed and breakfast! Basically u are paying for a no frills, no atmosphere, no contact, no real service, other than overpaying for a room which is situated on a main road. I've slept in a sunny days Inn next to the m5 and had a better view and less noise! So disappointing 😢

Woken up by water falling from the ceiling in my room. Crack in the ceiling above the bed where water was leaking. It wet the bed and I had to move the bed away from the wall and put a towel on the floor to catch the water. Water also dripping onto the light fittings. Really an unacceptable standard for a room. I have no idea if the water is clean or foul and it wass all over one side of the bed. I text and emailed the manager/owner with photos and they have completley ignored me. I will never stay there again and I recommend that no one ever stays here. the building is falling apart.
